Chapter 14 [END]

Mondo was struck back by the words, frozen into place as he watched all the despaired run towards Ishimaru.

"Now get out of here! Run!" He suddenly yelled out, Mondo picking up Fujisaki and running back to the shaft along with the others.

"Wait! We can't leave Taka-" He was about to go run for him, but was held back by Sakura.

"We gotta get out of here! I'm sure Ishimaru will survive." Sakura lied, the elevator starting to go up slowly.

"What the fuck is wrong with you! I can't just leave him there by himself! I gotta go back for him!" Mondo snapped at her, pushing against her to try and escape.

"I guess I'll just have to carry you out then." She responded, Asahina next to her slightly jumping when the shaft got to the top.

"Let me go GODDAMNIT!" Mondo yelled again as he was escorted out of the school quickly, scared for his lover's life.

"Calm down Mondo.." Fujisaki tried to comfort him, still scanning the area around to make sure it was secure.

"STOP TRYNA' MAKE ME LEAVE HIM! YOU ARE ALL MONSTERS IF YOU DECIDE TO FUCKING LEAVE SOMEONE TO DIE!" Mondo snapped at the smaller boy, his eyes starting to water.

"I can't leave him again- Don't you fucking understand that?!" He continued, guilt overwhelming his emotions.

The others stood in silence as he continued to breakdown, they didn't want to leave Ishimaru but with almost practically all their tools being useless they wouldn't survive if they tried.

It passed a good 20 minutes as they continued to wait, each one of them losing hope for the hall monitor to be alive, until..

He came out.

Ishimaru came out of hope's peak, injured and weak from the battle but still forced himself to walk towards them.

"Taka!" Mondo screamed out happily, the large female finally letting him go and allowing him to run over to Ishimaru.

"Mondo.." Ishimaru weakly spoke as they finally ran into each other, embraced in a tight hug.

"Never do that again.. please, I love you." Mondo kissed him heavily, becoming worried when he felt Ishimaru weaken in his arms.

"I love..-" the hall monitor tried to finish his sentence, but his vision completely became black.

"Taka-! No goddamnit! Stay alive! Please stay-" Those words and the panicked yowls of worry coming from the others were the only things he heard before he finally blacked out.

The heart monitor continued to beep as Mondo stood by him in silence, the injuries were bad, really bad.

They weren't sure if he was going to make it.

Mondo was grief-stricken, regretting everything he did, getting mad at Ishimaru, leaving him both times all alone..

He looked so pale in the hospital bed, almost looking as if he was a ghost still stuck in a body.

There was a click at the door, it swinging open to reveal Leon and his saddened expression, along with the others waiting by the door.

"So.. what do we do-?" He finally said, looking away from Ishimaru's body frozen in place, along with stepping forward.

"What do you mean what do we do?" Mondo snapped, narrowing his eyes at him.

"Mondo, if he's in pain don't you think it's better if we just let him go?" Leon suggested, the biker's eyes instantly snapping wide at the response.

"Are you fuckin' mad?! No way I'm gonna let him die! Not after all this..!" Mondo yelled, Leon slightly moving back.

"If the rest of you weren't cowards and actually cared for him then maybe he would be in better condition! But noo, you decided to FUCKING leave him for dead!" He continued to yell at him and the others, angered by the fact that someone that didn't even try to help was willing to let him die, did they feel no guilt?

"Mondo, we were all injured and were going to die if we even stepped a foot in there!" Leon shouted back, Mondo still not looking convinced.

"So what-? We all knew we were all going to die when we went for Fujisaki, yet we still did it! How is it any fucking different for Kiyotaka?! You're just all selfish bastards!" Mondo screamed, making a point for Leon to finally understand.

"I-" Leon couldn't explain themselves anymore, grunting and looking down to the floor.

"Exactly, you only say to let him die because you knew he was going to die there, you should feel guilty.. you left someone for dead. You're no different then the others that decided to not go after Fujisaki." Mondo turned back around, going to stand by Ishimaru's bed again.

Leon didn't say anymore, he just left with the look of guilt on his face with the others. Mondo really called him out for all the bad stuff he decided to do along with the others.

Mondo kneeled down next to Ishimaru's bed, putting his head near his bedside and starting to heavily sob when he thought of him dying.

"I'm sorry Taka.. I shouldn't have left you there, I'm such a fucking idiot! I would've risked my life even to save you but those damn idiots held me back!" Mondo apologized, his words choked out by the stream of tears coming out.

"I love you so much.. I can't bare the thought to lose you, even if we didn't know each other for long I still love you like hell, I'm not going to lose you, not after all of this.." He nuzzled his head into the mattress, sobbing in almost complete silence.

"Mondo-?" Mondo suddenly heard what sounded like the gates to heaven, along with a hand on his head.

"T-taka!" Mondo screamed out in joy, moving himself up and hugging the hall monitor tightly.

"You damn idiot.. never scare me like that again! I love you.." He said, leaning into a soft kiss and Ishimaru wiping off his tears.

"I love you too Mondo.." Ishimaru responded, surprised how he was even still alive.

"What happened- is Ishimaru-" Makoto bursted in, his eyes snapping wide open and a surprised look on his face when he saw him alive.

"Ishimaru! I'm so sorry for everything! We should've went for you!" Fujisaki followed behind, running over to Ishimaru and embracing him in a soft hug.

"Don't worry about it.. I understand, you were all hurt." Ishimaru responded, hugging the both of them tightly.

The others finally came into the room, looking to the side as Leon had explained and yelled to them that they should've not left him.

"I still don't understand." Mondo firmly growled at them, slightly grunting when Ishimaru bonked him on the head.

"Well, aren't you going to come over here?" Ishimaru asked, the others looking confused.

"You forgive us?" Kirigiri asked, tilting her head slightly.

"Of course I do!" Ishimaru responded, all of them going to hug him.

"We should've went back for you! We're so sorry!" Asahina sobbed her eyes out, Sakura comforting her.

"Yea.. we were really assholes." Leon apologized, Sakura apologising too.

"Like I said, it's alright everyone.. we're all together now.. we're going to be ok."
