You had been sitting at your desk all night, studying the difference between animal and plant cells. It was a little boring to be honest, but it had to be done. There were suddenly a knock on your door and you already knew who it was. There weren't really anyone else here.

"Come in" You spun your chair around so you could see Hana standing in the entryway.

"Mum just sent a text , it seems that they are still very busy and probably won't be home for at least another two weeks"
They had been travelling abroad for quite some time now, and they didn't have time to even call you. You haven't spoken to them for weeks.

"Oh. Okay. Thank you" You waited for Hana to leave, her not really getting the hint.

"Do you maybe want to play some games or watch a movie? We haven't really spent any time together for a while now" She leaned against the doorway.

"I really have to get this done-"

"Oh don't worry about that, you have spent the whole day since you came home reading about cells. Have a little fun. It'll do you good"
She interrupted you. You sighed, not really being able to say anything against it. You have never been good at that.

You both went downstairs and sat on the sofa. She sat a little too close for comfort.

"What do you want to do?" She asked you, powering up the TV.

"Should we just watch a film? I don't think my brain can handle anything that needs too much effort"
You got out with a nervous smile.
She had always kind of unnerved you.

"Movie it is then. What should we watch?"

"I've got no idea, you pick" You tried getting comfortable in the end of the sofa.

"You okay with horror?" She looked back at you.

"Yeah"

An uncomfortable silence filled the room while the movie loaded.

"So... You doing alright in school? Anyone bullying you?" Hana asked, still looking at the screen.

"I'm doing alright."

"Anyone making fun of you?"

"Why are you asking?"

"Cause I'm your sister, can't I care for you?"

"Don't worry, it's fine."

"I swear, if anyone makes fun of you because of your ears, I'll kill them"
You smiled. As if she would be able to kill anyone.

You didn't want to admit it, but this was a scary movie. Not a good one, mind you. It was just scary. It relied way too much on cheap jumpscares for your liking.

"You're shivering" Hana was looking at you. You tried to still yourself, but failed miserably.

"Yeah, the last jumpscare got me quite bad" You tried to laugh it off.
She frowned.

"I should have known to not pick this movie" She mumbled. Suddenly, she were really close, pulling you into her embrace. She started stroking your ears absentmindedly.

"Hana?"

"You're too fragile for things like that. But noone else understand" It seemed like she was talking more to herself than you at this moment.

"Hana, I can take care of myself perfectly fi-"

"But you can't" She interrupted you again. She was now looking down at you.

"Hana, you're being pretty weird. I think I'm just going to study some more before bed"
You got up from the couch, trying not to run to the stairs. There was suddenly something over your mouth and nose. It was a weird smelling piece of cloth.

"It's okay. You are okay. I'm right here." Hana said, nuzzling your neck while you tried to pry off her hands. It didn't work, and you accidentally inhaled, making the world go dark.

Timeskip because blackout

You heard soft humming around you. You tried to sit up, only to feel your hands having been bound behind your back and your ankles fastened to the end of a bed.

"Hana, what did you do?" Why in heck would she do something like this?

"Morning Y/N. How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay, but what are you doing? You're scaring me"
You saw Hana step out of the shadows in the corner.

"I'm just keeping you safe. Its okay"

"B-but what about mum and dad? They'll be home soon"

"I'm sorry, but I lied to you about that. They are dead"

"W-what?" You began shaking.

"They didn't understand. They wanted me to move, to move away from you! They wanted to keep us apart!" She sounded pretty crazy all of a sudden.

"Hana..."

"It's okay now though. I can continue watching over you. That's what sisters are for after all."

"This is completely out of hand! You killed mum and dad?!"
You thrashed against your restraints, not really doing anything.
Hana just climbed onto the bed behind you and held your bound arms still.

"Here, I'll brush your hair. Just like when we were little." You felt her move her hand through your hair.

"You smell so good. No one else deserves you. I'll keep you safe. No matter who I will hurt."
She said as if it would calm you.
She began caressing your ears gently, pressing a kiss to each one.

"I can't understand how someone would ever hate something like this. Your ears are so soft. I absolutely love petting them like this. It's so much better when you're awake."

"Why..."

"Because I'm your sister, and sisters look out for each other. I love you so much."
She gently touched your face with her free hand.

"You are so beautiful and fragile. Almost like a porcelain doll... Perfection"
This had all come out of nowhere. You had no idea where you were or what you should do. For now did you just stay still. Not much else to do after all.

"You're so good. There is noone else like you in the entire world. You are my world. My everything" She went back to brushing your hair.

"I was thinking of making your favourite food tonight, to celebrate. What do you think?"

"I-i dunno. I just want to be free from this rope"

"Oh, but I can't do that. There might be someone who would hurt you. You are different, and people hate that. They can't see your beauty. Your perfection." She nuzzled your neck from behind.
This would be your life now.
