After drama, Jenna linked up with the girls, to watch the teachers's Halloween costume competition, in the sports hall. All the teachers went really far with their costumes. This teacher had spray painted himself green and shaved all his hair off or maybe he had worn something to cover it, so he could look exactly like Shrek and Miss Helen had worn this zebra costume with an ass that was like 200cm long, it was more weird than scary to be honest. Somehow, Mr Brent had completely shielded himself with a metallic iron man costume, people didn't even know it was him, until he revealed himself. The prize was to get extra days off school and candies of course. But lets be real who doesn't want extra days off school?
"I think it was obvious that Shrek was going to win." Delilah shivered, telling the girls while dragging their wind chilled bodies home as soon as the Halloween costume competition ended.
"Same!" Jenna agreed while rubbing her bare arms, regretting her decision of not bringing a Jacket but at least Jenna had more clothing on than Delilah. She couldn't believe how Delilah could survive in a white cropped top with a short jean skirt which screamed early 2000s. Now that she gave a little thought to it, all of Delilah's outfits did.
"After all, he did shave all his hair off." Amy laughed as her goosebumps became more visible.
"Wait... I think he was wearing something over it." Delilah realised while looking directly into Amy.
"And... what's his name again?" Bella asked the girls, holding her hand on her hip.
"I think that was Mr Aron." Amy suggested while trying to get her hair, away from her face as the wind blew heavily into the atmosphere.
"Couldn't have been Mr Aron, I had him for drama this morning and he wasn't dressed up." Jenna revealed.
"Whatever, I kind of wanted Miss Helen's long zebra ass to win. I mean, it really was a struggle for her to fit through the doors. Like.. come on, you have to give her some credit for that." Bella joked, making the street echo in their laughters.
As soon as Jenna spotted her house, she rushed towards it, sliding her spare key out of her pocket then gently twisted the door open. As soon as she entered, she saw her mom sitting on their black leather couch while crossing her long legs with a magazine on her hand.
"How was school?" Mrs Kennedy flicked through her magazine, still staring at it.
"Good." Jenna simply replied then stomped up the stairs, hoping that her mom would forgot about the party. "I'm not feeling well mom so I'm just going to sleep now." She lied reaching half way through the stairs.
"Oh really? It must be the flu." Mrs Kennedy concluded, feeling concerned. "Take as much rest has you like honey. It's finally the weekend." A sudden guilt crawled into Jenna from lying to her mom. She couldn't believe she was going to go that far, just to go to a party.
Jenna barged into her bedroom then hurried towards her wardrobe, grabbing her velvet cat onesie which seemed even more baggy after she wore it. Jenna didn't really own eyeliner so Tania insisted that she borrowed hers. It's not that her mom was strict about it or something. Jenna just didn't see herself wearing eyeliner because it just seemed too dramatic for her but tonight she decided that a winged liner would look great with her cat costume.
