"Your name?" He asked while stroking his long chestnut bread. His eyes gazed her up and down. His tone was calm and he genuinely seemed interested.
"Stacy." She stood there besides her teacher. Stacy's head whipped towards her teacher, wondering why he hadn't told the photographer her name yet.
"I already told you her name. Remember?" Both of his eyebrows slid up.
"I forgot." He shrugged. Stacy couldn't help but analyse the way he looked. His body was full of ink, ink all over his arms, ink all over his neck, ink all over his stomach. Tiny bits of drawings and quotes squashed in together but capturing every detail. His piercings were stuck all over his face. Stacy couldn't help but feel slightly intimidated by him.
Stacy waited for a bit for him to introduce himself but he didn't. "Stand in front of the white background." He ordered instead. All this time, she was so focused on analysing the photographer's appearance that she was unaware of how artsy the room looked. It didn't exactly meet her expectations but nothing in this building did.
Stacy felt suffocated by the narrow space cramped by three people. Where hardly any glimpse of sunlight passed through. The room was filled with ink, it was quite dark and narrow, bits of equipments were scattered all over the place. The only thing illuminating the room was the white canvas for the shoot
Stacy did as she was told and stood in front of the white background. She could feel her knees shaking slightly because she had never done anything like this before. Not professionally. It would usually be outside in a captivating scenery while Jenna was the person behind the camera. "Okay." She breathed. "Here I go." She stood flat in front of the camera then flashed a toothy smile. There was a slight bit of hesitation in her features.
"Loosen up a bit!" The photographer yelled while adjusting his black nikon camera.
"This is finally happening! I have to be my best." The flashlights beamed its glory upon her and the music started playing. Stacy's hips pushed towards her left while her hair blew backwards from the fan spinning and gushing all the air out, towards her direction.
"Nice!" The photographer complemented.
Stacy pushed her chest outwards while her smile is more charming than ever. She rotated her hips side to side then ran her fingers through her silky hair.
"Now this is what I'm talking about." He expressed.
This time she tilted her head backwards while her butt pushed outwards, her eyes slightly narrowed and her lips were slightly pouty, giving a more serious face.
"You're a natural. Well done!" He took another snap. She knew she was made to be in the spotlight. Just a flick of her hair and fluttering of her eyelashes were enough to be dazzled. The music bounced around the atmosphere, creating a more fun environment, urging her to throw her hands high up in the air and dance to the beat. During this, the photographer shifted around, capturing every detail. She felt like she was being treated like an actual model. Maybe this wasn't so bad after all.
