jade wouldn't admit it to herself, but her heart had been beating so fast since they started joking around. trying to ease the awkwardness, doing their best to forget the past.
well, except for rylie and jansen, she thinks.. dahil kahit pa sinusubukan ni rylie makisama, hindi niya magawang makipagkasundo kay jansen.
she hoped it would last long. gaya ng dati. when they were just all young and free, happy and contented from everything they have.
things may have changed, but she's still glad all of them are trying to approach each other again. bringing back the old squad, despite the broken hearts that might.. never heal.
"shasha, sleep ka samin?" leigh giggled and hugged the little girl sitting on her lap. "yes tita!"
yves immediately shook his head, not letting them. "wag gago, creepy dun sa hotel na pinuntahan namin, ayokong magisa," tawa nito na agad inangilan ni josiah. "duwag mong hayop ka!"
"you're not with anika?" tanong ni jennie. agad umiling si yves at ngumiti, habang ang ibang mga lalaki ay nagsimulang magingay uli.
"madilim na," ani rylie. "i think we should get going. magkikita ba bukas?"
josiah shook his head. "sa friday pa."
"okay," then she glanced at the three girls. "tara na? inaantok na ko."
timothy stood up, fixing his shirt that got ruined by lying down the sofa. "ihahatid ko na kayo."
"no need," jana instantly followed. "may dala kaming kotse- kotse? kotse! gago yung kotse ko! naiwan pala!" agad syang bumaling kay jennie.
rest of them laughed when she panicked. nasa kanya ang susi at malamang ay naiwan ang kotse niya mag isa sa burnham park.
"ginawa ng bangka yon jana," ani jansen at tumawa.
"gago," sambit ni leigh at tumayo, inaabot ang bata kay yves upang magligpit na ng mga papel sa harap niya.
"kaya nga ihahatid ko na kayo," timothy repeated.
"ganito nalang," jennie stated. "doon mo kami sa burnham ihatid, para makuha namin yung kotse."
"fine."
"sama kami!" the other three suggested and stood up, yakap pa ni yves ang anak at hinehele na para matulog.
bago pa man sila magsimulang gumayak, bumukas ang pintuan kung nasaan si zyrel at ang batang lalaki kanina. jennie immediately went jade's side, holding her hand.
"uuwi na kayo?" zyrel flashed them a smile. "sayang, magluluto palang sana ako para makakain tayo."
"tito, you're going with them?" the little boy tugged timothy's shirt. "sama ako! sama kami ni mommy!"
