More Than Just A Prince

Could Never Be Anything

Dick woke up first, noticing the warm arms around him. Now they hadn't done anything too naughty the night before but there as definitely a lot of making out and technically groping before they decided to sleep. Dick turned slightly to his right to look at the other prince's face. He looked at his lush red hair and his long eyelashes and sighed in disappointment. He liked Wally. They clicked well, both in conversation and physically, but Dick knew in a few moments reality would sink in and he would have to sneak out of this room and Wally would be forced to go back to courting Stephanie.

"Why such a sour look on your handsome face?" Wally asked, snapping Dick out of his staring so he could realize Wally was now awake.

"Thinking how I'm going to sneak out of here without anyone seeing me," Dick spoke truthfully.

"You don't have to leave yet," Wally frowned.

"But I will have to leave at some point. Because you're supposed to be flirting with my little sister," Dick said bitterly, despite pulling Wally closer to him.

"Stephanie and I could never be anything. Both my father and yours will realize that eventually. Doesn't mean we can't...get to know each other...before I have to go home in a few months," Wally suggested.

Dick thought about it for a minute. A multi-month fling with an attractive prince with no strings attached? Of course all remaining a secret while said prince is supposed to be flirting with his sister? Didn't sound half bad.

"I suppose I would like that. To get to know you that is," Dick smirked and gave Wally a slow morning kiss.

"Prince Wallace," a british voice interrupted with a knock from outside the door.

Dick immediately got out of bed and grabbed his suit jacket and tie, before pressing another kiss to Wally's lips and practically diving out the open window. Wally rushed to the window to see the lean man already casually throwing his jacket back on, firmly standing on the ground.

"Prince Wallace?" another knock.

"Yes, come in," Wally finally forced out as he turned away from the window.

"Breakfast will be served in half an hour. This afternoon the princes and princesses will be going into the city. You are invited to join them," Alfred said after opening the door.

"Will my father be there?" Wally asked.

"The Kings will be staying in tonight," Alfred replied.

"Thank you Alfred," Wally replied with  relief, "And please, just call my Wally."

After Alfred left Wally looked back out the window towards the ground and a light smile came across his face.
