They had kept their relationship a secret for the entirety of the first month of Wally's stay. Most of their dates happened in the manor's library, which Wally was incredibly excited about when Dick showed it to him.

In the back was a couch where they sat reading often. Dick would pick up a book that interested him, despite having read nearly everything in the massive library, and they would sit on the couch together and read it. Dick would read it and Wally would love listening to his voice while laying down across the couch with his head in Dick's lap.

"Wally...Wally....Wallace!" Barry barked, snapping Wally effectively out of his thoughts, which were all obviously about Dick.

"Sorry, yes?" Wally asked.

"We need to have a discussion, about Stephanie," Barry said, "I've noticed you two haven't spent much time together over the course of the month."

"Well," Wally started, taking this as his chance, "I don't think we really click."

Barry shook his head, "You don't understand. King Bruce and I entered an agreement. You two will need to get to know each other."

"What do you mean?" Wally asked, growing concerned at the implications.

"King Bruce and I agreed that you two would be married," Barry said, "While you always have a choice, I'm afraid it might be detrimental to our kingdom."

Wally tried to come up with a response as he stood up in shock before settling with, "I will not be marrying her. Get it in your head now."

"Get it in your head that you at the very least have to go on a few dates with her," Barry yelled back as Wally stormed out of the room they were in.

Meanwhile Dick was reading he and Wally's favorite book in the library, again, when Bruce walked in.

"Hey!" Dick called cheerfully as Bruce sat beside him.

"Are you sleeping with Prince Wally?" Bruce asked, cutting right to the chase.

Dick looked up in surprise, "What?! No, of course not," Dick said, technically being truthful. They weren't sleeping together...yet. Only aggressively making out.

"Okay, I was just picking up on some...hints," Bruce said, "It's okay if you are."

"Really?" Dick asked in surprise.

"So you are," Bruce sighed.

"Not sleeping together...but...yeah," Dick said looking down in shame.

"It's okay, Dick. I always knew," Bruce said.

"You aren't mad?" Dick asked shocked.

"Of course not. You are who you are," Bruce said and set a hand on Dick's shoulder, "But don't get your hopes up."

"Get my hopes up?" Dick asked confused.

"King Barry brought Prince Wally here to marry into our family," Bruce said, "So if he and Stephanie are betrothed...I don't want you to be heartbroken."

Dick looked down and away, a hurt look crossed his face, one that he wouldn't dare let Bruce see. He looked back up with a smile and a laugh, "Don't worry Bruce. Really. It's nothing serious."

"Good," Bruce said in relief, "You can love whoever you want, son. Just not this one man."

After Bruce walked out of the library Dick looked down at the book in his hands. A single tear slipped from his eyes as he whispered, "But I love this one man."
