Spoiled Fun

The door to the library opening startled them both. Wally nearly dropped Dick. Dick quickly straightened his clothes and flipped his collar up, to hide the new hickey. Wally stepped away from Dick to pat his rustled hair back into place, and try to smooth out his pants.

Dick peered around the bookcase to see Cassandra entering the library. She walked forward and picked up a book on the desk near the front, probably a book she had accidentally left. Once she left Dick sighed in relief, "That was really close."

"That was fun though," Wally breathed out, still trying to calm his nerves. Dick smirked at him, doing nothing to help his problem.

"Dinner is in 20 minutes," Stephanie's voice said from a few feet away, as she was pulling a book off a shelf, "And you might want to do that elsewhere next time." Wally jumped at the sound of her voice and tried to form words, but simply couldn't.

"We'll be there for dinner no worries," Dick replied casually as Stephanie left.

"I don't understand how you can be so calm when interrupted," Wally exclaimed flustered after she left.

"Like I've said before. I've been interrupted many times doing many things by many of my different siblings," Dick laughed and leaned in to kiss Wally sweetly.

Dick pulled Wally by the hand after looking them both over to make sure it didn't look like they were just making out and grinding against one another in the library. After confirming they were good, Dick pulled Wally out of the library and down the hall before letting go of his hand.

They sat at the dinner table with everyone else a moment later, in the regular arrangement of seats. There was just a bit of small talk until Jason silenced the whole table with one sentence.

"Dickieee is that a hickieee?!" Jason exclaimed in a teasing manner then continued, "It's been so long since I last saw you out being the ho you are. I'm proud of you."

Wally's breath hitched as his eyes quickly scanned the table, relieved when no one seemed to be looking at him, meaning they didn't peg him as the one who left that mark on Dick.

Dick was seeing something different as he read the table though. Bruce was staring dead on at Dick, a knowing look in his eyes, but he said nothing as Dick laughed and played it off.
