All week Dick and Wally pondered how to fix this but barely came up with anything more than begging for the marriage not to happen. On the last day Alfred called everyone to the room again. Dick kissed Wally gently in an empty hallway before they got there promising that everything will be okay.

Dick scanned the room and saw Tim and Stephanie holding hands, almost happy. Dick knew Cassandra had offered to take Stephanie's place and that is what Bruce began to offer.

"Who is it going to be?" Barry asked, one hand on Wally's shoulder griping tightly.

Bruce sighed, "Cassandra has offered to-"

"I will be marrying Prince Wallace," Dick stepped forward, portraying a strong aura of confidence despite all the shocked looks in the room, including Wally's.

"That is not acceptable," Barry started but Dick interrupted.

"Will all due respect, King Barry," Dick began as he adjusted his slimming suit jacket, "But I think this would be a much better way to unite the kingdoms. If you'll give me a moment to explain."

Dick could see the panic in Wally's eyes but Dick sent him a subtle reassuring look.

"Continue then," Barry relented.

"We all know Gotham and Central are very liberal Kingdoms. Allowing your son to marry a prince would reflect well on your tolerance and probably benefit your royal family, as it would in our kingdom. Furthermore, this is a much more direct union as marrying your son to Cassandra or Stephanie can't compare to marrying the one next in line for the throne, which is me. As our Kingdoms share a border with the first born sons of both Kingdoms being married we can completely join our kingdoms. Never having to worry about war again," Dick explained.

As Barry was about to talk Dick continued, "And not that you care about your son's choice in this situation as you were going to marry him off despite him telling you multiple times that he did not want to marry my Princess Stephanie, but I am sure he would choose me if he is actually allowed choice in his own life."

A thick silence encompassed the room before Barry looked at Wally and laughed, "He thinks you would choose him over one of these beautiful girls."

Wally made eye contact with Dick, instantly relieving his panic, and said, "He is absolutely correct that I would choose him. Dick and I have been dating since the first week we arrived. I would choose him over either of the princesses not only because I am gay but because I have fallen in love with him."

Bruce smiled slightly at Dick and turned to Barry, "I accept this arrangement if you do."

Barry looked at Wally and at the nod he received, Barry sighed, "I will accept this arrangement. As it would be easier for the kingdoms to grasp we should get them in the public eye as dating as soon as possible. We can address their marriage after a bit of dating in the public eye."
