Dick scowled as he heard a knock on his door at nearly midnight. He stormed over and threw it open, seeing Wally standing there casually smiling.

"What the fuck do you want?" Dick snapped, making Wally's smile disappear and morph into an expression of concern.

"What do you mean?" Wally faltered in surprise.

Dick rolled his eyes as he pulled Wally inside his room, to argue with him where no one else could listen in.

"You know you could have told me you were taking Stephanie out on a date. I would have understood. We could have just ended this," Dick spoke angrily.

Wally tried to say something but Dick started again.

"I knew this wasn't going to last but I didn't realize it was so casual to you that you would just not even tell me you were going to start going out with someone else," Dick exclaimed as his eyes became blurry with tears without his permission, "It fucking hurt."

"Woah woah, baby, please," Wally said softly in slight panic. Dick tried to push away how much he liked Wally calling him baby to focus on the fact that the other man didn't love him.

"Dick, that isn't what that was," Wally started gently, "It wasn't a date with Stephanie."

"It wasn't?" Dick asked confused as his anger calmed to just a simmer.

"Of course not. I should have told you I was taking her out to dinner to appease my father, but I wasn't thinking. I was upset," Wally said softly yet in a rush, "I had overheard you talking to your father about how we weren't serious so when I saw Stephanie and remembered my father pressuring me...I just asked her to do something with me tonight without thinking. Stephanie just wants to be my friend. And I just want to be her friend because I love you."

"You love me?" Dick asked, surprised the most by that part.

Wally froze up for a second before he nodded and smiled, "Yeah. Dick, I love you."

Dick ran a hand through his hair as he paced for a moment, "God I'm so sorry Wally. I shouldn't have jumped to a conclusion."

"Hey hey it's okay. I did the same thing," Wally replied, "It's okay."

There was a slight pause between them before Dick looked back to Wally's green eyes and said, "I love you too."

Wally smiled brightly in response and he carefully wiped a tear from Dick's cheek, "I love you too."

Dick smiled, "Want to stay here tonight? Watch a movie with me?"

"Yeah, I'd like that," Wally said.

Dick turned on the TV and Wally followed Dick into the bed to cuddle the rest of the night away with him.
