Chapter 6: Plan Execution

Yue

It has been two weeks... It seems like Wang HeDi is keeping his word.

Everything came back to normal the day after our last encounter... and true to his word... he left me alone and never bothered me again. My monotonous life went back to be as boring as it should be.

I was invisible once again. I have no idea how he did it, but people - even her hoard of fangirls and ex-girlfriends - seemed to forget I ever existed. Well... this is what I want right? Being away from everyone's attention. Stop over thinking Shen Yue! Everything is back to where it once was! You should be enjoying your reclusion and not bothering yourself with nonsensical things.... I silently castigated myself.

"Yueyue!" I heard someone calling my name as I walked absentmindedly on the busy hallway towards my last class of the day. I spun around so suddenly to know who it was, that I almost stumbled back when I hit my face on something hard and brightly colored... my glasses almost came off...if not for that strong pair of arms holding me steady.

"Whatdafa!" I heard the "hard barrier" exclaimed in surprise, making me look up... and to my surprise, Wang HeDi's handsomely startled face suddenly overwhelmed my vision until that female voice whom I recognized as ZiWei's, called me once again... and sure enough, as if on cue, she came, catching her breath... beside me and this tall statue holding me.

"Oh my goodness... that was one hell of a work out Yueyue... why are you walking so fast? Is the devil after you?" My friend asked suddenly being aware of the figure beside her.

"Oh Didi! you're here?!" ZiWei exclaimed, surprised to see her cousin holding me at arms length.

"No Wei... I'm not here... I'm just a pigment of your imagination...." HeDi answered jokingly... earning him a not so light nudge in the head, slightly ruining his perfectly styled hair. I secretly laughed to myself.. amused at their bickering.

"Shut up Didi... didn't I tell you to never mess with my girls...Why are you here? Are you bothering Yue again?"

Wang HeDi only rolled his eyes in reply as ZiWei nudge him hard on the side making him wince in pain.

"I was just passing by... my next class is at the end of the hallway... I am not in anyway bothering your friend Wei... and I don't have any intention of doing so... there... satisfied?" He said nonchalantly.. not even throwing me a glance after he released his hold off my arms...  tucking his hands inside his jacket's pocket as he turned around and walked away from us, after giving his cousin a sardonic smile.

" You better be telling the truth Wang HeDi if you know what's good for you." ZiWei hollered threateningly... earning her a dimissive wave of a hand from him... making her grunt in disbelief... and me in disappointment as I watch Wang HeDi sauntered away ... Wait what? Disappointed? Shut it Shen Yue...  why are you being upset? Are you expecting Wang HeDi to do... something? ... Erase! ... Erase! ... Erase! ... stop thinking like that Shen Yue! The chapter of your life involving that arrogant jerk is through... Finished... so stop thinking about him...

" So is my cousin bothering you again Yueyue?" My thoughts are interrupted by ZiWei's worried voice making me focus my attention on her.

"No... He was just... uhmm... really passing by... I think. I didn't even know he was here if not for you." I answered.

"Oh-kay... I believe you... but please... just tell me if he bothers you again... I can't believe that if not for Jia.. I would still be oblivious that my favorite cousin had been messing up with you." ZiWei held me by my arms as we thread the hallway towards our class..."If there's someone who could put that brat in line... it's me... so please... do not ever hesistate to tell me if ever he gives you a hard time again... alright?" She continued... giving my arm a soft squeeze... here's full on mother hen ZiWei again... I thought to myself giving her a reasurring smile.

"Okay.. I'll keep that in mind Wei.. but don't you worry.. it seems like Wang Hedi had already gotten over his fascination of me..." I said as we made our way towards our seat.... While I try my best to convince myself that everything is perfectly fine.

Don't look back... Don't look back... Look straight ahead Didi...

My hands are still tingling, as I tried to ward off that electrifying sensation I felt when I held Shen Yue in my arms. Her scent of  morning dew and spring flowers still lingers in the air around me... following me.

Stop it HeDi... you're acting like a crazy addict... You're laying low right... What you did to her earlier is part of the plan... you're suppose to be  ignoring her just like how you've been doing for the past two weeks. You should be planning your next move now instead of distracting yourself with thoughts of Shen Yue's smooth skin and sweet scent. You should  focus on executing your plan... or else all your effort in taking things slowly to win her attention and eventually making her fall for you will all go to waste.

"Di!" XiZi hollered... I immediately saw him waving his hand at me as I entered my last class for the day. I went towards his direction and sat on the seat he reserved for me.

"So... how's Operation Shen Yue going? Any luck in catching her attention today?" He asked as I made myself comfortable on my seat... noticing how one of our classmate - what's her name again? ZiYe... XuYe... Zhou Ye... uhmm whatever - deliberately sat beside me giving me a good view of her legs as she flashed me a seductive smile which I nonchalantly dismissed in an instant... I don't have time to flirt today. I have a strategy to focus on... and my encounter with Shen Yue earlier had been a good enough distraction already.

"What's with you dude??? Zhou Ye is obviously flirting with you... aren't you going to engage?" XiZi whispered in my ear... quite surprised at my reaction. I just squared my shoulder in reply.

Just then... XiZe came barging in... sitting on the empty seat behind me.

"Hey Bro!" I greeted him while he's settling himself. He leaned forward giving me a light tap on the shoulder before bringing out his notes.

"That girl Li JiaQi has been a really good influence on you man..." I said noticing how he started reviewing his notes... XiZe only gave me a brief glance before grinning from ear to ear... obviously happy about my observation.

"So... are you hanging out with her again after class because we don't have basketball practice today?" I asked... trying so hard to sound  casual...

Because yes... I am up to something... I am obviously fishing for information... and I was hoping that XiZe wouldn't notice. Knowing how perceptive he was of things... I don't want him lecturing me again about Shen Yue.

Good thing he's obviously in a very good mood to scrutinize my discreet inquisition... maybe... being too happy with what's happening in his lovelife made him oblivious to the fact that he's giving out the information I wanted.

"Jia's having girl time with Yueyue and ZiWei after class... I think they'll go strolling in the mall or something... She asked me to pick her up after though..."

Perfect! XiZe is a guardian angel in disguise and he's not even aware of it.

"Great! then we can hang out and spend some bro time of our own. We could play LOL  at your place while passing time... before you pick up Jia... Are you coming Zi? " I suggested before inviting XiZi who instantly declined.

"Sorry man... but free time is date time for me Mah Boyz..."

"Then it's just the two of us then..." I said... XiZe could only nod in approval while in my head... I am dancing my victory dance.

Tonight is the night. Your time is up Shen Yue... Slowly... but surely... I'm creeping back into your life... And before you even realize it... You've already fallen into my trap... incapable of escape...
