Seriously?! You?! Harboring secret feelings for Shen Yue? You don't do "feelings" Wang HeDi. These things with girls, it's all play for you. A game you could easily control. Emotional connections make things complicated in this game. You of all people should know that.

Besides, Shen Yue isn't your type. Cute, naive, good girls aren't your type HeDi. You're into straight forward, outspoken, cool women who knows a lot about the world and is not into serious relationships. That's what you prefer.. or have you forgotten?

I exhaled a deep sigh as I dry my wet hair with a towel. I sat on my bed contemplating about my sudden realization and have been castigating myself for two hours straight now since I arrived after taking Shen Yue home. Her innocent face pasted on my mind. The feel of her tiny warm body and her scent of citrus and morning dew still evading my senses. We could have stayed under my umbrella with the rain pouring down on us nonstop until forever and I wouldn't mind. Holding her in my arms feels so right. It's as if she belong there since the beginning of time.

There you go again man... Stop it! Stop thinking about her. It's not good for you. You and Yue, you can never be.
Why? Well... for one, ZiWei will go berserk if you end up hurting her, plus Shen Yue, she's already your friend. A good friend... and hurting a friend is not in the equation.

Right. That's it. Just be her friend Di. The plan now is to be just her friend. Be content with that. It doesn't matter if her shy glances makes your heart flutter. It doesn't matter if her smile warms your soul like the summer sun. It doesn't matter if you want time to stand still whenever your together. Just be her friend. Don't you try to cross that line. It's best for the both of you. Just be friends with her. That way you'll never be able to hurt her.

I lay comfortably, wrapped inside my comforter, protecting me from the chill of the night. My hair still slightly damp from the quick, warm shower I took before preparing for bed.

I should be feeling tired right? All those hours in the cafe should have taken it's toll on my body right now. My eyes should be fluttering close so I could take a good night's rest.

But why does different images of Wang HeDi keeps popping into mind instead? That goofy smile of his that reaches his eyes whenever he played around with XiZi. His boisterous, all out laugh that makes you want to laugh with him. His peaceful expression when he sleeps that could give any baby a run for their money. And his naughty smirk that makes you want to know what's going on through his mind.

O gosh Yue! Are you really thinking what I thought you're thinking? Stop it this instant! Don't you dare develop some kind of feelings for Wang HeDi. I forbid you! You better erase any traces of infatuation running through your mind right now.

Wang HeDi is way out of your league. Sure he's handsome, charming and fun to be with. Not to mention he' s an awesome cook and His presence could make a cold, bleak place suddenly feel warm and colorful. He's witty and have a ready answer to any of your questions. He annoys you to no end but he also comforts you and makes you feel secure. He feels like home. His embrace feels like home.
