Eruption ~ Bakugo Katsuki (BNHA x Fairy Tail)

Hotel

Melody watched as Katsuki continued to pace back and forth in their hotel room. The tension in the air was undeniable and all she wanted to do was drift away. No matter how she saw the ending result, there was no way she would be able to control the spirit before this darkness took over her. It was already showing in her crystal and poured out of her when it got taken off. Who knows how fast it would evolve. Melody finally breaks the silence since he was lost in thought. "Can you just stop and think clearly for a second? The only answer to this is to trap me inside my necklace and go on your merry way. This is not your problem!" Katsuki stops and looks over at her, his eyes showing a whole different side to him. He was upset that she just wanted to give up on life. She never had the chance to be truly happy. It made his heart hurt. "Damn it! It is my fucking problem now! You already heard what she told us. The moment you stepped foot in this world, my fate was sealed." He saw as her face shrunk. His words hurt her more than anything in this moment. "I'm not letting you give up."

Melody threw her arms up. "I'm not giving up! I'm solving the fucking problem without anyone else getting hurt! I can't live with any more guilt." Katsuki saw her eyes start to water. He wished he could heal her pain, even for a little. How much longer did she have to suffer? He wasn't going to give up on her. He sat down next to her, placing his hand on her back. She didn't reject it. She watched as his fingers take a strand of her hair and tuck it behind her ear. "You don't know me. You don't know how my life has been. All I know is anger and pain and sadness and that's exactly what will make me fail. The only happiness I ever could have was with my sister and now I have to go back and put her in danger again. She has done nothing but take care of me. So why can't I fucking do the same and keep her safe!"

Melody grabs her bag that sat next to her on the bed and throws it across the room. Good thing it was only clothing and nothing breakable. Her heart pounds heavily in her chest as she fights the urge to fall apart. Bakugo notices the glow of her crystal. "Melody. Your necklace." She looks down and sees her necklace glowing, only this time a bit more was covered in black. It takes everything in her not to rip it off and throw it across the room, but she knew it would just destroy everything around her, including Katsuki. "Fuck!"
She stands and up grabs her head with her hands, tugging at her hair a bit. She wraps her arms around herself and tries to calm down. "I'm a monster."

The word that always played through her mind her whole life. A monster who destroyed everything in its path. Not caring for anyone but themselves. Every time she tried to do good, it backfired and brought nothing but destruction. Katsuki walks over to her and lifts her chin. "You are just a girl who has been dealt shitty cards. If you have this much power inside you and there's a way to control it and defeat this darkness, why not try? Why not work your ass off to have a normal life? You can't have things given to you. You have to work for it."

His words hit her. A normal life with magic? How would that ever be possible? His life wasn't perfect with magic either. Villains sought him out because he was strong and came off as evil sometimes. Frankly, he knew more about Melody than anyone else in her life, even Twilight. It scared her to have someone know her this well because that's when they learn how to hurt you. She still didn't know whether to even trust him or not. He did however bring her here to get answers.

"I have tried to accept who I am many times....but the more I think of it, the more I hate myself. I watched as my village was destroyed in front of my eyes, everyone along with it because of me. I was kidnapped and tortured to the point where I wanted to end my life, but had no energy to do so. I traveled far and wide to search for some way to rid myself of magic. Everyone who has ever come into my life has either died or left. Everyone but Twilight, who is insane to still stand by my side. Even those idiots at Fairytail want to help me but have no clue what they are getting into."
