Chapter 59 -- I Can Hear The Bells

Winnie's P.O.V.

"Winnie, darling. Time to get up!" I heard my uncle call. I groaned loudly and then grabbed my phone off the nightstand and shrieked when I saw that it was 7:30 in the morning.

"Uncle Nate! Why are you getting me up this early?!" I screamed.

"It's pre wedding day! We've got lots of things to do!" he said as he walked in my room.

"Ugh. Go away. I'm tired." I said and pulled the covers over my head.

"Oh no you don't." he said and ripped the covers off of me. He then grabbed on to my ankles and attempted to pull me out of bed, so I gripped on to the bed frame for dear life.

"Winnie! Let go!" Uncle Nate screamed.

"No!" I screamed back. As we were yelling and fighting, we didn't even realize that Meredith had walked in.

"What are you two doing?!" she hollered. Instantly, Uncle Nate let go and we looked at each other and bursted out laughing.

"You two are such goofballs." Meredith laughed.

"Ya, it runs in the family." I laughed.

"So Win, I wanted to ask you something." Mer said.

"Shoot." I said.

"Well as you know I don't have any sisters. So I was wondering if you would do the honor of being my maid of honor. I just feel that we are so close, and I would love for you to do it." she said.

I paused for a minute and then let out the loudest shriek.

"Of course!" I said and hugged her tight.

"Great! Well we need to head to the dress shop then. See ya Nate." she said and kissed him goodbye. I slipped on a pair of jeans, a tshirt, and put my hair in a bun and grabbed Mer's hand as we headed to her car.

~Time Skip: Next Day – Wedding Day~

It's 12:18 in the afternoon and it's officially wedding today. All the bridesmaids and I are upstairs in Meredith's room, waiting for her to finish. The wedding starts at 1:00 pm and my uncle has been calling me nonstop to help calm him down. As I was sipping a mimosa, my phone started vibrating and I looked down to see Liam calling me.

"Hey babe!" I said excitedly.

"Hi love. How are you?" he asked.

"I'm good. The wedding's gonna start in about 45 minutes." I said.

"That's awesome. I bet you look beautiful." he said.

"I'll send you a picture later." I laughed.

"Man, I miss your laugh." he said.

"I miss your face." I laughed.

"So you're coming home tomorrow?" he asked.

"Not sure yet. My uncle said something about staying a few extra days." I said. Secretly, I am going back tomorrow, I just want Liam thinking I'm not.

"Oh really? Well I really miss you and I can't wait until you come back." he said.

"I miss you too. Listen, I gotta go. It's show time." I said.

"Alright, bye sweetie." he said and hung up.

As I hung up, it was time for all of us to get into the limo and head to the church. Within twenty minutes we were there and it was time for the ceremony to start. One by one the bridesmaids and the groomsmen walked down, and then it was finally time for me, the maid of honor, and Matt, my uncle's best man, to walk down. Arm in arm we walked down, and my uncle shot me a quick wink. The music then started playing and everyone stood up as Meredith walked down. She looked absolutely beautiful and when I looked over I saw my uncle crying and I really saw how much he actually loves her.

The whole ceremony went by rather quickly, and Meredith finally became Mrs. Scott and became part of our family. Right after the wedding, we all were sent off to get pictures. The photographer took a beautiful picture of Meredith and I on my phone and I sent it to Liam.

For about two hours, we got pictures, and then finally it was time for the reception. The reception was absolutely amazing. I met so many awesome people and I had the time of my life. At the end, Mer and my uncle were heading straight to their honey moon in the Caribbean.

"Thanks so much for coming home Winnie. I couldn't have done this without you." he said and kissed my head.

"You're welcome Uncle Nate. You know I wouldn't miss it and I would do anything for you." I said.

"I know you would. So here's your plane ticket for tomorrow. You leave Detroit Metropolitan at 2:30, so you'll have time to surprise Liam at the show." he said.

"Thanks Uncle Nate. I love you." I said as I hugged him. "I love you too Aunt Mer."

"You know I love you too Winnie." she said and hugged me.

"Alright, now off you two." I said and waved them goodbye. I watched as their limo drove away and I headed back to the house. When I got back, I packed all my things and got ready for the night. Before I went to sleep, I called management and told them about my plan to surprise Liam on stage. They gave me the idea of going on during one of their songs and they would silence Liam's mic and I would sing his part. We decided that I was going to sing the little part in Back For You when Liam sings "Lately, I've been going crazy, so I'm coming back. Yeah I'm coming back. For you." As I was attempting to fall asleep, I couldn't contain my smile nor stop the butterlies that were fluttering in my stomach. I'm so just excited to surprise Liam.
