(Still a flashback)

Warmth.

As if for thousand of years all I felt was the harshness of the cold, the warmth that was enveloping me never felt so soothing and tranquil. Is this what it meant to embrace Death? Had I known that, I would have done it long time ago.

Then it happened, my eyes slowly opened. I blinked for a few times, my vision gradually getting sharper. My eyes laid upon a grandiose ceiling, painted with myriad of intricate gold swirls gradually decreasing as they made their way to the middle, where a small, yet beautiful chandelier hanged. I couldn't help but gawk at such majesty, such art.

I could feel a soft mattress under me and a soft, thick blanket covering me. Besides my soft breathing, I could only hear the crackling of fire— wait. Wait a second— What is this place? Crackling fire? Painted ceilings? Questions started to fill my mind and they were drowning me as the realization is dawning upon me.

This isn't supposed to be heaven, right? Or hell? Where am I? Where's ----? What happened to us? I thought we died. I hoped we did. I thought everything finally ended when we jumped. Did we get separated? Did we actually die there on the cliff? Or did we survive? Or was I the only one who survived? Or am I really dead and all of this is just a hallucination?

My eyes shakily scanned the room from left to right. I was gasping for air as I tried to sit up, but to my dismay my arm slipped.

"Eh...? Wha-" I tried once again, but only managed to lift my upper body a little, I rolled over to my side and let out a small yelp as I fell down on the soft, carpeted floor. My body was limp with exhaustion. I never thought that such small movements would drain me.

I looked around again, inspecting my surroundings. I was in a bedroom, it was obvious. A luxurious bedroom. It was huge and grand, certainly fit for a monarch. For some reason, it looked quite familiar to my eyes. As my eyes were scanning the room, I accidentally gazed upon my hand.

I lifted it up, opened and closed my palm, also doing it with the other one. My eyes blinked rapidly as I started examining myself. My hands, arms were slim and longer, so are my legs. My bosom seemed like they got bigger as well. I ran fingers through my hair, they seemed lighter and longer than before. I looked around again and saw a mirror not too far from the bed.

I tried standing up, my legs giving up on me as I did that I fell face down. Thankfully, my arms managed to take most of the impact, but it was still painful. Shaking, I tried to stand up again, and I finally did.

I was panting and my legs were wobbly as I tried to walk up to the huge mirror. My eyes widened as I saw my reflection. I placed my shaking hand on the mirror, while the other reached to touch my face. The person in front of me did the same thing. But she seemed unfamiliar.

Unlike the features that I remember I had, it was entirely different from the person in the mirror. She was undeniably and ridiculously beautiful. Her eyes resembled two red gemstone, curtained with long, thick lashes, her skin, clear and porcelain, her lips were small and reddish, and her long, shiny and grayish lilac hair framed her small face and fell down to her thighs.
