"Thank you for accompanying me, Subaru." I looked at the person beside me, as I smiled. He just nodded his head and turned away. I let out a giggle at his adorableness.

He looked out for me while I was asleep. When I woke up around 3 in the afternoon, I saw him at the end of my bed. He was just sitting there with his eyes closed. When he noticed I was already up, he quickly stood up and went nearer, asking if something hurts. Well, my neck was hurting. He was the one who gave me the bandaids. He nursed me all morning and I was really grateful for that. He even offered to dress me up, but I obviously refused. I didn't think that Subaru is actually the caring kind. I thought he's annoyed by me, though it turns out that he's actually a tsundere. Who would've thought that Vampires have Tsunderes as well?

I shifted my gaze down my hands, resting on my lap, my smile disappearing.

We're on the way back to the mansion. I told Reiji that I am feeling really weak and nauseous. Of course, he scolded me because I'll miss some of the subjects. But he knew that he can't really blame me, so here I am. And, also, I already have some of the notes I missed. Emiko also promised that she'll let me copy hers tomorrow.

I glanced at Subaru in my peripheral vision. Though it is quite true that I'm starting to feel weak, but that's not entirely the reason why I asked to be sent home.

A while ago, when I finished telling Yui what happened... Well, at first, she got really scared and worried about me. I could remember how the fear crept into her face. But, it turns out that she has a story of her own.

My brows narrowed and I tightened the hold on my hands as I remembered the words she uttered.

"I thought it was you."

Kanato brought her to see his collection of dolls. And, apparently, he threatened to make her into a doll too. When Yui was creeped out by him so she ran away from him. She told me that she caught a glimpse of a door, but it was blocked by many wax figures. It was slightly opened. She told me she happened to see light purple hair behind it and thought that it was me. But Kanato pulled her away from it, then bit her. Ayato came to the rescue, end of the story.

She told me she immediately ran towards my room but didn't find me there. So when she saw me among the brothers at the entrance of the house, waiting for her, she said she was relieved.

A doll that has purple hair like mine? I know that my hair is not that rare. But, I just can't ignore the possibility...

I heaved out a deep sigh, feeling a little bit nervous. I didn't actually think that Subaru will come with. I didn't want to trick him too. But I have no choice. I have to know. If there's a connection between me and them, I need to know that. They won't tell me anything, so I have to find out myself.
