Chapter 5

Months flew by
The day was finally coming, I was going to be able to meet Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio. I hope they haven't forgotten our promise to meet. Before Hisoka and I spilt ways,He had warned me that the Phantom Troupe would be in York New for the auction, I had to be careful...I straightened my kimono styled sleeves as I made my way to a small cafe.
"I'll take the strawberry pancakes and strawberry tea"
I told the waitress as she prepared my food. Strawberries were the best, the sweetness of the strawberry accompanied by the fluffiness of the pancakes made a killer meal. As I was being served, I couldn't help but sense a pair of eyes staring at me. I lifted my head from my almost empty plate only to find a middle aged man staring at me. As we made eye contact, I tried to hold back my giggle but failed, a small giggle left my mouth as I attempted to use my hand to stop. Where on earth this man's eyebrows? Not to mention his outfit, what was he? A perverted middle aged PE teacher? The more I thought about it, the harder it became to control my laughter.
"What"
The man spat, clearly annoyed at my laughter. I only managed to say one word before letting my laughter consume me "eyebrows" I giggled. The mans face turned a bright shade of pink before covering his "eyebrows". The eyebrowless man did everything in his power to try stopping me from laughing. From asking me to shut up, to screaming his head off. his actions had gone to waste. As he facepalmed himself and got ready to leave, I couldn't help pissing him off even more
"Bye eyebrows"
I said playfully. Mr eyebrows scoffed and "tched" me before me before giving me the classic finger and storming out of the cafe, leaving me satisfied. Honestly, I did feel a little bad afterwards, but I would always remember his non-existent eyebrows and start laughing again. After paying for my meal, I set out to find Gon, Leorio, Killua and Kurapika. After walking around the area for a good 10 minutes, I felt warm hands surround my waist.
"GON!!"
I chirped while hugging him back. Of course, I hugged the rest as well. Ruffling Killua's hair and playfully punching Leorio made my whole face hurt from smiling. However, I felt something missing...Kurapika! "Where's Kurapika?" I asked the trio standing before me. They all shrugged and told me that Kurpika wasn't answering their calls. I was starting to get worried, did anything happen to him? Did he fight the Phantom Troupe? Is he okay? My worry for him increasing by the second. "Sheesh..don't worry Y/n, Kurapika's fine. He's pretty strong ya know.. besides, you'll get wrinkles if you frown to much" Killua said, a smug look plastered on his face. I playfully smacked the back of his head. However, Killua was right, Kurapika is strong, I shouldn't doubt him. As the four of us explored the place, we caught up with each other, Killua and Gon had just finished learning Nen, Leorio was still studying to be a doctor. We shared laughs and many dirty jokes on Leorio's part. He was definitely the dirtiest person I knew, I cringed as I listened to his jokes but couldn't help smiling anyway...i missed them..

"Sooo...these are the Phantom Troupe members? You really think we can catch them?" I questioned Gon as I studied their faces and the huge bounty above their heads. Gon nodded frantically, clearly enthusiastic. My slender fingers tracing over the piece of paper, I decided why not. Gon needed the money for Greed Island, I had to help him, no matter what. After all, we were friends...friends always help each other in times of need. With that said, no matter what, I had to be careful, one glance at my tattoo and I would be done for. My thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Leorio's ringing phone.
"Got it, ill head out right now"
He responded with a serious look on his face, "there's two of them near the plaza, let's spy on them for awhile" Leorio said. He was definitely nervous, I mean who wouldn't be? The Phantom Troupe consisted of very skilled nen users, Gon and Killua were still amateurs at nen. If they weren't careful, they might wind up dead. Just the thought of them getting hurt sent a shiver down my spine.
The cafe we were seated at had a clear view of the two Phantom Troupe members, right off the bat, I knew one of them was Machi. Her pink messy hair flowed in the wind as she conversed with the much older male, he too, had Long hair. I tensed as I stared at Machi, of all the members that could've been present, it just had to be her...
I felt my hand being pulled "Cmon, we're following them" Killua explained as I followed the Gon and Killua. As much as I wanted to convince Gon and Killua that it was a bad choice, they wouldn't listen, once they set their mind to something, there's nothing stopping them. The three of us spilt ways and spied Machi and the man. Gon from the right, Killua from the left. I, from the middle. The three of us concealed our presences as we tailed behind them all the way until the deserted part of the city...this would be troublesome. A house? I questioned as I made my way inside to hide. I watched silently as the Long haired man call somebody...backup? I questioned...No, they wouldn't need backup, so who was he calling? Sweat trickled down my forehead as i saw the man's head turn...he saw Killua and Gon, I cursed at myself as I ran to find them.
I ran and ran as fast as I could but I was too late...there was no sign of Killua or Gon. I assumed they didn't notice me, if not, id be taken too
"SHIT"
I screamed as my eyes frantically scanned the whole place in a desperate attempt to find Gon or Killua. I cursed at myself before running towards the direction of Killua and Gon. In some ways I was similar to Gon, for example, I had an exceptional use of scent. Meaning, I could sniff out anything. Luckily, Killua's scent was prominent enough so that I could track it.
"Killua, Gon, I'm coming for you"
I promised, anger consuming me. This time, I wouldn't hesitate to kill.
