The city of Yorknew was always busy. Be it day or night, the bustling city was never quiet. The sound of cars along with the shouts of drunkards here and there was what made Yorknew, well...Yorknew. As the days passed, the grand auction everyone was talking about had inched closer and closer. However the Phantom Troupe has still not found this girl Danchou desired oh so very much. Now, they had to handle both the girl and the auction...this just meant more fun for them. Chrollo sat at the edge of his seat, getting his hopes up whenever a small sound was heard by him..thinking it was Y/n returning to him.
As the night grew darker and darker, a certain red head with quite an unforgettable smirk was wandering the streets of bustling Yorknew. As his hands comfortably rested in his pockets, he made his way into a restaurant.
"Machi, what a surprise..Never thought that you'd be the one inviting me for dinner"
The jester teased, his eyebrows raised in a playful but curious manner. Through his time with the notorious Phantom Troupe, Machi had never once accepted his invitation for dinner. What changed her mind? Machi merely scoffed at his comment, clearly annoyed by the man in front of her. However, her eyes held a different emotion...it held desperation. It was obvious that Hisoka at that time was her only option. After all, he wouldn't question it, and it was even better that he wasn't there when Paku gave everyone a memory shot...
As Machi reached into her purse and pulled out a rather old, torn looking picture, she whispered the words
"Kill her"
She demanded, desperation engulfing her. "Danchou mustn't know...the other can't know as well."
She practically begged, her fingers wrapped around each other, eyes shifting uncontrollably. Throughout the whole time, Hisoka's poker face was still in use, not the slightest emotion had been shown, he looked at the picture and looked back up at the pink head before standing up from his seat. As the clown kept the picture into his wallet he muttered the words he never thought he'd say, the words neither of them thought he'd say...
"No"
The words both of them dreaded to hear so much.
Hisoka pov------------------------------------------------------------
"Why did I say that?"
I questioned as I threw myself onto my bed. All this time, I've been interested in Machi, so why couldn't I do what she asked? My head started to pound from so much thinking. I reached for the bottle of alcohol on my table, and starting drinking from the bottle itself. I was particularly impatient tonight, I was pissed off. As I downed the bottle of red wine down like it was water, I reached into my wallet and fished out the picture Machi had given me. No doubt it was her.
Y/n's hair was short back then but her face is the same, the same innocent smile that made me go wild. I couldn't help it, whatever she did made me fall for her even more. The scary thing was that she wasn't even trying....she didn't have to. All my life, everyone I had come to know was under my control. But this time, I was the one around wrapped around her pretty little finger. Though she doesn't know it, I'd do anything for her.
My cheeks burnt up at the thought of Y/n, why did Machi want her dead anyway...
My sleepy half closed eyes shot open as I figured out why
Chrollo knows....
My eyebrows furrowed together as I called Y/n
"Please answer, please answer, please answer"
I mumbled, biting my lip in anticipation

"Hoho, never thought the great Hisoka would ever call a peasant like me"
I teased, a smile forming on my lips. It was true though, why would Hisoka call, there obviously had to be a reason. As I took note of what Hisoka said, I made my way into a small cafe where he asked me to meet. There he was...as handsome as ever. The first thing I noticed about him was his hair...he didn't gel it up today...his usual gelled up hair was let loose, the ends of his red hair hugging his porcelain-like face. I couldn't get enough..I stared at how soft his hair looked, how...fluffy. Before I even knew it, I was ruffling his hair. It felt amazing, his hair wrapped itself around my finger, Hisoka's hair was basically a huge cloud
"Ah! Im so sorry, your hair just looked really soft and I-"
I admitted sheepishly, Hisoka merely smirked and continued to stare at me. However, I could have sworn that his cheeks looked more pinkish...i pushed the thought away and asked Hisoka what was so important. As he explained, i felt myself tense up. "No way..."....Hisoka continued to explain, paying no attention to how I was feeling. My fingers gripped against my Mug. I knew I shouldn't have saved that guy...this was the result of me growing soft...it was all my fault...
I pinched my thighs to stop myself from crying. There's no way I was going to cry in front of this clown, not again...Was what I told myself just 2 minutes earlier...now, I was in his arms crying my eyes out in a cafe. My life couldn't get any worse at this point. I was crying in the arms of a male, running away from my problems and being a huge crybaby. However, I couldn't help but feel comforted Hisoka's warm embrace which made my heart beat two times faster. This was the second time we've dont this, I actually....liked it...he smelled good...I snuggled up against him, inhaling a final whiff of Hisoka before pulling away and got ready to leave the cafe. I had to leave YorkNew, it was the only way...
"Your hair looks better left down."
I told him before leaving him with a small smile. "Hisoka, thank you for telling me." I thought to myself as I made my way downtown.
Everything was going as it should, I was walking down the street...so why is it pitch black? Beads of sweat dripped down my forehead as i tried fighting back, my actions were in vain. My body was paralyzed, I couldn't move a muscle. My conscience was slowly slipping away and the only thing I thought of made my blood boil
"Hisoka?"
Did he set me up? He wouldn't...I trust him. No matter how much I tried convincing myself that Hisoka wasn't a part of this, the nasty thought always came nipping back at me. I was definitely furious, who wouldn't be? But I was more upset than angry...why would Hisoka do such a thing? I thought we were friends.. was the final thing i managed to think before I finally gave in and let my conscience slip past.
"Finally"
The two guys grumbled as they hoisted the unconscious girl on their back and disappeared "oi...you'd you even know she'd be here?" The shorter, crankier male asked, receiving a small shrug from the other male "I just knew she'd be at a cafe"
What they didn't know was that a rather peculiar clown had watched the whole scene go down, right before his eyes. "Why didn't I help her?" He managed to mutter to himself. However, by then, she was Long gone. Before that, he was debating whether he should help or not, if he were to help her, it would be troublesome to explain. If he didn't, she'd hate him forever. Hisoka bit his lip as he curled his pale hands into fists. He cursed at himself while trying to demise a plan to save his precious Y/n.Words:1372
