When All Fails

Chapter 6

"What? What do they do with them?" "They take them to there main base in the town hall I've seen it all from afar scared families getting dragged in by there feet saying there last words then you hear screams then silence." "What next" mom said. " Then they come back out crazy deformed in robotic form. " "Oh my" I heard from the hall where I was standing out side the bathroom making sure kayla did not get hurt. Once she came out I stopped her and said "Kayla can I speak too you in my room" It was now approximately 9:30 pm an I was ready to tell kayla my real feelings for her.
"Joey I've been needing to tell you something for a long time." "Me too" I said. "I love you" we said simultaneously. "I was so worried that you did not feel the same way" she said. "same here" I replied. " I've loved you ever since 6 th grade and wanted to tell you this for years." She said to me as she was backing me into my bed. Then suddenly I hit the bed and fell backwards looking up at kayla as she started making out with me and it escalated, fast! When it was all over all I could think was "that went good". The next day when I woke up with Kayla in my arms we laid there for a while until finally I decided to get up to help make breakfast, Or at least what ever we have set aside for today. Today it was a small piece of a waffle and a fried egg and a sip of orange juice. Finally Kayla woke and cam out of my room and ate her breakfast and some of mine. Later me and my dad went out for more supplies. As usual we went and go some leftover scraps from the grocery store but this time we did not see any people, any robots , or any animals. We returned home to mom sitting on the couch with Mom crying with kayla consulting her. Dad set the food down and ran to her immediately and asked what's wrong. She said she saw a squirrel die and it was very sad. Kayla later told me that she thinks my mom is pregnant because she was craving weird things and having mood swings. This could be bad we have no professional doctor and what is she needs a c-section. Tonight we slept together again but nothing happened one day when this is all over I hope that me and Kayla can have a regular relationship and get married. But only if we cam make it through this. "She will be my treasure my life I will do anything to save her." I thought over and over as we laid in bed. "He is my life my treasure and I hope to get married to him some day" Kayla thought in her head as she laid in bed.
