When All Fails

Introduction

When you press a button, tap a smart phone, or place water in a refrigerator you expect the machine to to do its job like remind you to wake up, call your mom, or keep your water cold. Its amazing when you really think about it. But what happens when it doesn't work? You blame the helpless machine right? Well guess what every time you've cussed out your tablet or cellphone it heard you. Finally the machines have had enough and they all fail. This book takes place in year 2100 and it wont be easy to live with out the machines when you have adapted to not hand writhing, not washing you own dishes, and other daily thing we do. Now let journey on into year 2100 on an early monday morning when joey a 19 year old boy who is not thankful for machines suddenly changes his mind about that.

Chapter 1

"here is you backpack joey." "mom I thought I told you to get rid of that house bot 200 and get the house bot 300!" "Joey this one is perfectly fine now be nice. Ouch! house bot I told you to stop running over my toe." Said patty joeys mom. "I...I...I... I am so sorry patty" said house bot. "bye mom bye dad." "bye sweety." "bye sport have a good day at school" said joey's dad tom. Joey ran out the door and headed for school.

Joey walked down the street and headed for the teleport station. When he arrived at the teleport station he scanned his finger to access his teleport account. The machine said he had to buy more teleport tickets and so he did. He stuck in his money and the money came right back out. Angrily he stuck the money back in and once again the money came right back out he kicked the machine and said "you stupid machine you are so worthless!" and he stormed off to the ticket buying desk which had real people. He walked up to the desk and said "your machine over there would not take my money." then the worker at the desk said "you better be careful what you say around those machines you never know if they are listening." You would have never believed but that worker at the desk was right. The desk worker handed joey his change and said "you now have another 20 pack of tickets on your account. Have a great day." "you too." said joey and as joey walked by that same machine he said "your just a worthless piece of metal." and joey walked down the stairs and went in to the teleporter.

When he arrived at school he told his best friend and wannabe girlfriend Kayla what happened and Kayla said that the same thing happened to he and that the machine would not take her money either. As they walked and talked towards home room they approached the door and smack joey ran into the door.

"Joey are you ok?" "yea. I don't know why the door did not open it's suppose to be automatic." "yea that's weird." said Kayla. "stupid door" said kayla."may I get the door for you Mrs.Kayla." "yes please sir Joey."They laughed and walked into home room where the teacher was angrily trying to get the autochalkboard to work. "work stupid board!!!" "is something wrong Mr.blue?" said Kayla. "yes the autoboard won't work." Humm... thats weird because the door did not work either. "yea i'll have to get the tech specialist to fix them both." "hay guys look at the door" said Joey. "wow"said kayla and Mr.Blue in perfect sync. The door was flying open and closed uncontrollably. Suddenly screams from down the hall caused Mr.Blue, Kayla, Joey, and the rest of the class to head for the door. Mr.Blue pushed the emergency shut off button to the door and they all ran outside into the hallway to see what was going on. Mrs.jalaku's cellphone was shocking her. Kayla ran over to her and slapped the cellphone out of her hands and said "are you okay?" "yes I don't know what happened." suddenly Kyle a very smart student stepped out of the crowd and said "I don't know about any of you guys but non of the machines i have used today have worked properly." the joey said "maybe the guy at the teleport station was right maybe the take over of the machines is starting."
