High School

None of us know what we're doing. We are only children trying to grow up too fast.

This is supposed to be the time where we learn about the world and what is really out there.

This is not supposed to be the time where we say goodbye to one of our own.

This is not supposed to be a time of grief from the loss of one of the pack.

Yet, that is what happened.

We had to say goodbye to you. None of realized what happened.

We only noticed you were gone.

We thought it was only temporary. We went on with our lives.

When we got the news, many were numb. All throughout the day, we heard crying and saltiness.

This is not something that is supposed to happen. This is not in the novels we read or the movies and shows we watch.

This is not something real put into a fake situation. It is much, much worse than that.

This is real life brought into high school. This generation has been through so many real things that people our age should not have to deal with.

We should hate you for what you did to us, but we don't. We loved you when you were living and love you still as you lay, hopefully, finally, at peace with yourself and the world.
