Content comes in the most unexpected ways.

For instance, never did I imagine that a mission babysitting an assassin would turn into a trip where I learned to live again.

"Thanks for today"

Bucky looks up at me from his perch on the couch.

"That's what friends do" he states. Shock courses through me and I can't help but grow excited. I sit up on the bed, my tiredness washing away slightly.

"So we're friends?" I ask, my voice energized.

"Maybe" Bucky taunts, laying back on the couch. I laugh, plopping down on the bed.

"I'll take it" I announce, smiling proudly. My attention is drawn from the small victory by the jingle of my phone beside me. I scrunch up my eyebrows, pulling the device up to see Nick Fury's name pop up. I quickly answer it, putting the device to my ear.

"Hey Fury, what's up?" I ask.

"Dawn, hey, how's everything?"

"It's pretty good, we took down the Hydra branch in the area" I inform. I hear the man breathe a sigh of relief.

"Good work. Any updates on Barnes' status with joining the Avengers?" He asks. I pause, looking over to the man on the couch.

"I haven't exactly asked yet" I answer.

"You haven't asked yet? This is serious Dawn" I hear the man announce. I sigh, bringing a hand through my blonde hair.

"I know it is, I'm working on it"

"No, Dawn, you don't understand. Something's brewing with the Avengers, I fear it might tear them apart" Fury states. This catches my attention. I sit further up, my brows furrowed.

"What's going on?" I ask.

"The UN issued something called the Sokovia Accords, a document that makes the Avengers a public rather than private organization."

I pause, blowing a breath out of my mouth.

"There probably divided" I infer, knowing for a fact that not everyone would support the Accords.

"That's what it looks like," Fury states, making my stomach drop even further, "They could really use some additional help, something to bind them"

"And you think he can do that?" I ask, making sure not to use Bucky's name since he's feet away from me.

"I think he can help their numbers, but I have another idea to help stop their quarreling" the man answers.

"What?"

"You"

I freeze, my eyes widening.

"You don't mean..."

"I do. I think it's time I stop hiding you"

A ghost of a smile graces my lips. An excited laugh bubbles from my lips, catching Bucky's attention.

"Fury, that's amazing! I won't let you down" I respond.
