"Any luck yet?" I murmur, keeping myself hidden in the shadows.

"None yet. The hangar with the Quinjet has to be around here somewhere" Sam responds, his voice crackling over the comm link. I keep my eyes trained on the scene playing out before me as Cap is confronted by Tony, Rhodes, T'Challa, and Nat. He looks utterly outmanned.

Luckily for him, the rest of us are waiting just in the wings for his signals.

"Steve, you know what's about to happen," Nat, warns, approaching Cap warily, "Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?"

My attention peaks, knowing that this might be the moment Steve calls out to me. When he glances to the side and clenches his jaw, the ghost of a smile on his lips, I know it will be. To them, he looks off in the distance.

What they don't know is that he's looking directly at me.

I take silent, careful steps out of the shadows of the upper level just behind the group, none of them turning to see me yet.

"Not alone" Steve responds, the words being the cue for me to pop in. It will provide distraction enough to let Scott scurry along the ground in his ant form unnoticed and allow Sam and Bucky to find the Quinjet.

So, with utterly silent bounds, I sprint up to the edge of the level and bound off, my body flowing through the air and landings deftly beside Steve. The group starts slightly when I drop in, recognition spreading as I stand up and allow the mask of my suit to retreat. My green eyes examine the group for a moment, the wind rustling my loose blonde hair.

"I'm sorry, but we have to do this, Tony" I state, watching the man huff.

"I was really hoping you'd be on our team," He muses, shaking his head at me.

"This isn't about teams," I respond, taking a step closer to Stark, "You're the Avengers, you're one team. You should be together here, even if it means compromising"

"We tried that, didn't work" Rhodes interjects. I shake my head at the heroes.

"When it comes to family, you make it work" I shoot back.

"Alright, I've run out of patience," Tony sighs, bringing his metal-clad hands to his mouth," Underoos!"

I furrow my brows in confusion as the sound of something shooting above us rings out. I turn to see a web-like substance encase Steve's fists and a boy adorned in red and blue spandex pull the shield from Cap's hands. He flips easily and lands on a car beside Tony, wielding the shield at his side. I lift my brows, impressed by the kid. This must be the Spider-Man Fury had just begun speaking with me about before I left for my mission.

"Nice job, kid" Tony praises, smirking smugly at the two of us. I have to keep from cracking in amusement as I watch a tiny figure climb onto the shield.

"Thanks. I could've stuck the landing a little better, it's just new suit," he rambles, gesturing to himself before the eyes on his suit widen, "It's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's perfect, thank you"

Amusement flutters into Cap and I as we share a bemused look before glancing back to the boy. He's obviously never been in a fight like this before.

"Yeah, we really don't need to start a conversation" Tony admonishes, waving him off.

"Hey everyone!" He calls, ignoring Tony's words. I smile, waving back at him.

"Hey, kid" I respond warmly, not wanting to spread animosity between the teams. I know it's happen regardless, though.

"You've been busy" remarks Steve, his hands still bound.

"And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint, rescuing Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place!" Tony begins, his anger boiling beneath his skin.
