"Hello." Naruto called out walking in the home, he saw Shikaku sitting on the couch, and he only looked up from the newspaper to tell Naruto that Shikamaru wasn't home and that he welcomed to stay, he looked at the child in Naruto's hand and then looked back to the newspaper before slamming the paper down and standing up quickly, he almost lost his footing and Naruto gave a smile.

"This is Emi Uzumaki-Uchiha. Me and Itachi's child. She is six months old today." Naruto said and Shikaku sighed, sitting down and patted the empty seat next to him and Naruto walked over and allowed Shikaku to hold his child and spoke to him about what was happening and how anxious he is.

"You shouldn't be, Itachi promised to make it home. Although, I'm sure he won't come home without scars. His opponents are tough." Shikaku said and Naruto sighed calmly.

"How's Emi?" Shikaku asked, the child was awake and sitting in his lap, as she tried to get her mothers attention, Naruto smiled down at Emi and kissed her nose watching as she giggled a little wiping her nose.

"She hasn't shown any Uchiha traits yet. She's happy and bubbly, and smiles at everybody. When she was younger she had trouble sleeping, but now she sleeps through the night and her favorite food is mashed potatoes." Naruto said calmly, and Shikaku chuckled.

"She is definitely you, think she'll gain a Sharigan." Naruto picked his child up and kissed her on the forehead, hearing her giggle and reach for Naruto's face.

"She'll definitely get it. There's no way that Uchiha gene will be pushed back that far." Naruto said and the door opened.

"Where's Naruto? You aren't hiding him are you?"

"No mother I'm not hiding him. He said he was coming soon."

"Well I haven't seen him since you all took that mission. Is he okay? Does he know you and Temari are getting married?"

"Yes he knows."

"Is he feeing neglected? Knowing that you'll start a family soon?"

"No mother he isn't."

"You sure, you aren't a very good at reading people."

"Mother, Naruto is fine."

"You sure? I think I'll head over to his apartment tomorrow."

Naruto amd Shikaku sat on the couch smiling at one another, they could clearly hear Shikamaru's annoyance in his voice.

"You don't have too mother, he'll be over soon."

"Then why isn't he here?"

"I'm here Yoshino." Naruto said and the woman came in and she smiled fondly, she was about to hug the life out of Naruto but saw a baby who was just laughing in Naruto's lap.

"Ah Emi, look at you." Emi held her hands out and Shikamaru scooped her up in a hug, and Naruto smiled.

"That's my child, Emi Uzumaki-Uchiha." Yoshino looked at the baby and saw blue eyes and tanned skin, whisker marks and onyx hair.

"Sasuke?" Naruto shook his head and Shikamaru spoke.

"Itachi."

Yoshino walked over to the child, the child looked at the woman and made grabbing motions with her hands, Yoshino took the baby who only nuzzled her head against the woman's cheeks and Yoshino lost it.

Declaring that the baby was so cute, and just as sweet as Naruto, she wouldn't let the baby leave her arms, even when she had to start dinner, which was fine because the males caught up, and Naruto realized that he felt so at home here.

They got on the topic of Itachi again, almost like he knew they were speaking of him, Itachi sent him a letter, that says he wouldn't be able to respond, and that'd he was pregnant, that the child should be starting solid foods now, and that he missed him so much. He had met up with Sasuke and they were closing in on Obito's and Kakashi coordinates and they were hoping to stop this invasion before it came to the leaf.

Naruto wrote him a letter stating that he needs to be careful and to come home soon, that he missed him but that did not mean that he wouldn't try and kill him. Sending the letter Emi started crying, Naruto looked towards his daughter to see the Yoshino wouldn't let her have whatever she wanted. Naruto stood up and walked to Emi.

"Emi-Chan." Naruto called out sweetly watching his daughter stopped crying and he picked her up.

"Don't look so sad, Grandma Is making dinner. We'll eat soon okay?" Emi looked blankly at her mother but Naruto knew she understood him somewhat because she stopped crying.

"Shikaku would you like to hold Emi while I shower?" Naruto said and Shikaku nodded, infatuated with his granddaughter already.

Naruto got in the shower and looked out the window, staring as the sun set, and he heard Kurama's rumbling.

"I can keep an eye on him, but you'd have to make a blood clone."

"Please save him, he hasn't even met Emi yet. I'm sure he knows of her, Sasuke could hardly keep a secret."

"Anything For Emi."

Naruto made a blood clone and sent Kurama on his way. Hoping that whatever was going to go down, would end so that Naruto could see his mate. He hasn't seen Itachi since he demolished Otagakure and that was over a year ago.

Itachi however stood next to Sasuke as he read the note. Sasuke folded his arms as he listened to his older brother badger him about the blonde.

"Did he have a boy or a girl? What's the child's name? Is he fine? Were you there for the birth? Who do they look like? You have to tell me." Sasuke looked to his older brother, he could hear in his voice.

"Naruto is fine, he's happy, he's waiting for you to return so you both can be a family. So you have to make sure that you will not throw your life away and not get to experience life with the blonde haired Uzumaki you chose to spend your life with." Sasuke said and that seemed to calm Itachi down.

Standing in front of the village where the root of all problems seemed to come from, Sasuke and Itachi watched as it seemed to be raining here, when the temperature did not call for it.

"Amegakure, why didn't I think of that before?" Itachi asked and Sasuke hummed.

"Because criminals aren't usually stupid enough to head back to a village where a lot of people know them." Sasuke said and Itachi nodded. The both of the grabbed an umbrella at the entrance and Itachi spoke.

"To the tower, it should be just Kakashi and Obito. Are you alright fight Kakashi?" Sasuke sighed.

"He took you away from me, and he allowed me to continue to hate you when he knew the truth. I'll kill him." Sasuke said and Itachi nodded and the duo walked in the village knowing they were already being targeted.
