Mel's POV

Lavar: "YA 4 HOURS LATE SON! PRACTICE IS OVER" He yelled as I walked in

"I know dad"

Lavar: "Gelo said you had somewhere else to be. What could be more important than practice?"

"I just had something I had to take care of and it took me a lot longer than I expected"

Lavar: "you not in any danger are you?" He asked as he narrowed his eyes at me

"No dad I'm fine" I laughed

Lavar: "just make it to the next one...on time son"

"Yes sir" I said as I sat next to my mom

I watched as my dad nodded and walked away

Gelo: "now if that were me he would've cursed me the fuck out" he said causing my mom to laugh

Tina: "you sure everything's alright?"

"Everything's perfect" I smiled

Zo: "yeah somethings definitely wrong with him" he laughed

Tina: "leave him alone" she said as she flagged him off

"Yeah leave me alone" I said as I stick my tongue out and got on Instagram

After I left my comment I turned my phone off and started watching TV with my mom

At some point Zo went home, Gelo went to jaden's, and dad went to sleep so it was just me and my mom

Tina: "so what's really goin on?" She asked as she turned toward me

"Nothing"

Tina: "this nothing must be pretty serious because you never miss a practice"

"It's really nothing" I laughed

I hated lying to my mom but this was something I needed to keep to myself

Tina: "if there's something goin on, you know you can tell me"

"I know ma" I said as we did our handshake

I felt bad that I didn't tell her but if I'm gonna be somebody's pops I gotta learn to do shit on my own

Tina: "it's getting late so I'm gonna head to sleep" she smiled
