Here We Go

                  Melo's POV

It felt like I got a good 10 minutes of sleep before I heard nai hollering

Me being the good uncle I am I decided to go help

What I walked in on was kinda surprising

"Where you goin?"

Viv: "I thought I could do it Melo but I can't" she said as she finished dressing nai

"So you're leaving?"

Viv: " just forget we were ever here and tell princess I'm sorry"

"So you're telling me that you'd rather her not know who her father is than just deal with an awkward moment?"

Viv: "it's not like that"

"Then what's it like?"

Viv: "sleeping with Gelo was a mistake and I feel like I'm a loose end. We agreed to never speak about it so how would I look showing up with a kid?"

"Like a parent"

Viv: "not to be rude but what do you know about parenting?"

"Well I do know that my child's happiness comes before any and everything plus If you leave I doubt you'll come back and she'll grow up wondering where her dad was all her life; it's gonna kill you the day you have to explain that you didn't tell him she even existed "

I watched as she stood there  and looked at the baby

Viv: "maybe she'll understand that I did it for a good reason" she said  as a tear fell

"At least give him the chance to meet her"

Viv: "I cant face him Melo, I'm sorry" she said as she picked up  nai and put her in her car seat

"I'll do it for you"

Viv: "do what?"

"What you suggested the first time"

Viv: "you'd tell him for me?"

"Yeah. She deserves to know her family and where she came from even if she's too young to understand"

Viv: "thank you. I'll be back for her later tonight" she said as she hugged me

"We might not see eye to eye but that kid makes us family and I stand behind mine 100%" I said as I hugged her back

Viv: "I really owe you one" she said as she handed me the diaper bag

I grabbed nai and we walked Viv downstairs to the front door

I waited till she got in her car and pulled off then I closed the door and headed back upstairs

Surprisingly nai didn't care that she left... either she was a real calm child or Viv left her alone with different people all the time

I took off her little shoes, her jeans, and her jacket then brought her in the room with me and princess

I put her in the middle of us and she fell right asleep

I hope my son or daughter is this easy to handle

Zo: "yo bro!" He said loudly as I answered the door

Zoey: "uncle Melo!" She smiled as she ran in

"Hey booger!" I said as I picked her up and spun around

Gelo: "sup bro" he said as we did our handshake

Zo: "where princess?"

Princess: "right here" she said as she walked downstairs with nai
