Love is not a game,
As they always say.
Love is not always sweet,
You'll decay your teeth.
Love is not for fun,
Unless you want to be one.
Love is not a joke,
Unless you want to have a stroke.
Love is not perfect,
People won't deeply understand it.
One thing I know about love,
It's more pure than a dove.
Love does not boast nor hate,
You don't need a lot on your plate.
Love is patient and kind,
Wait and always smile as you wait for the right time.
Love does not envy,
You are not marrying money.
Love does not rejoice in evil,
Unless you'd like to swim in a puddle of guilt.
Love only rejoices in the truth,
So get out of the wrong route.
As I gaze upon the beauty of the stars,
One day I know someone will love my scars.
As clear as the day and the water of the sea,
The true definition of love will guide me.
The journey will be dangerous partly adventurous,
I have to be ready for it will be tremendous.
Am I spiritually, emotionally and physically ready?
My friend a relationship should always lead to a 'Will you marry me?'
Again not for fun, not for some lousy leisure time.
Love is serious that can't be deformed of its true design.
