Jax's POV
I got up off of my hospital bed and ran into Lena's arms. She hugged me so tight and I hugged her back. I felt tears swell my eyes and soft tears traveled down my face onto Lena's shoulders.
"Why didn't you come with me!" I cried, holding her face. "I needed you!"
"I know! I'm sorry! Roger held me back." She cried.
"I hate him." She finished.
I held her in my arms for what felt like forever. She took me back to my bed and I held her hand.
"How did you get here?" I asked her.
"Roger dropped me off." She replied.
"Where is he now?"
"I don't know. He said he will never come back." She shrugged.
"Do you believe that?"
"I'm not sure." She said. "He really didn't want to hurt anyone."
"Well he did. I hope I'll never see him again."
Lena stood with me the whole time as my friends stood outside. We spoke, laughed, and cried. We spoke about our good times and our bad. We spoke about our future and if we will even have one. After hours of talking, something came over my mind.
"Lena?" I whispered.
"Yes?" She responded.
"I think it's time."
"Time for what?" She asked.
I looked at all of my friends who were outside my room. They were all smiling, laughing, and talking to each other. They all looked genuinely happy. I wanted to be happy too.
They all were living their own lives. They all had their own things. I wanted my own thing too.
I wanted a life with Lena. I wanted to be free. I wanted a family, a house, a life.
Courtney had a son. My godson. My close friend Cypress was married. Oscar was out dating and finding himself. They were all doing things that weren't allowed while they were in the gang.
Lena is all I need. She could be my wife, the mother to my children. She's everything I've ever wanted. I could get a real job to support her. I want her to be happy. I want her to be safe.
I want to be safe.
"It's time to get rid of the gang."

I know I know! Such a short chapter but it's important for the next ones. 2 chapters in one day!! Are you guys proud of me! The end of the book is slowly approaching.....
