It was my second night staying at Henry's apartment. I opted to wear his shirt again since it comforted me. It was still the same situation as yesterday but I didn't dare to close my eyes again.

It was too much. It seemed to target my vulnerability when I'm alone.

I stood up from my bed while grabbing the blanket with me as I go out of the bedroom. I went to the couch where Henry was sleeping and I see him also still awake.

The lights were already off and only the light outside peeking through the curtains could be seen. He was staring at the ceiling while he uses his arm to lean on the back of his head.

"Why are you still awake?" I softly asked him. His eyes darted to me and he had a surprised look.

"Oh, why are you up?" He asks, sitting up on the couch and clears his throat. I was still standing on the doorframe of the bedroom.

"Uhm, I can't sleep, you?" I answered back.

"I was waiting for you to sleep," He slowly smiles as he looks at me. I was taken aback by his answer but I remained silent.

"Does it still hurt?" He asks when I didn't respond.

"Yeah, but I couldn't sleep because I keep on remembering what happened," I replied, looking down as I pursed my lips.

"Come here," He says faintly, almost like a whisper. I slowly walked towards him wrapping the blanket on my shoulders.

"Can I sleep here?" I asked when I sat beside him.

"Yeah, if you want," He slowly says as he scooches over to his side to give me more space.

The couch was big enough to fit both of our bodies when we laid down and I laid the blanket on the both of us. I slightly turned my head to look at him while he was busy staring at the ceiling.

"I can almost hear your thoughts, Henry," I chuckled, it seemed like he was thinking of a lot of things.

I have to say we were really close to each other, but I was comfortable around him and I didn't mind if he was in my personal space. His eyes turned to me without moving his head.

"I'm sorry," He whispers, a small smile escapes his lips. "You should sleep now, Adeline."

"Okay," I nodded at him and closed my eyes.

I absentmindedly rested my arm on his body like a pillow which, I later realized but before I could remove my hand, he wraps his arm on my waist and pulling me closer to him.

His chin was just resting above my head. I could smell his scent more, which made me rest my head on his chest as I closed my eyes again with a smile on my lips. The last thing I remembered before falling asleep was his soft brushes on my hair that made me doze off.
