I find it odd when I figured out that none of the jokes in contemporary writing made me laugh. May it be found in novels, poetry, or short stories, I just seem to be a tough nut to crack. Apart from maybe Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's novel, Good Omens, authors are not exactly the best comedians in my opinion. So I made a limerick to stop this trend.
I guess my ideal form of comedy at that time was dead memes that are lucky enough to last an entire month. The funniest joke, in this scenario, was how it turned into a tragedy.
