Mae's POV
It feels like I've been staring out of the plane window for what feels like forever now. I decided to go to L.A. for 3 weeks, and this was a very spontaneous decision might I add. I just missed my best friend so damn much. I don't get to see her very often. Maggie and I have been friends ever since I can remember. We both grew up in Texas and have gotten so close over the years. That is until she moved to L.A. I was heartbroken when Maggie left but I also am so very proud and happy for her. It's a conflict of interest really. I want what's best for her and for her to be happy but I also miss her so much and want her for myself. Selfish, I know, but she's all I've got except for my dad and my boyfriend, Tommy. I don't think my dad wanted me to travel by myself but he knew how badly I missed Maggie. Ever since my mom left us my dad has really softened up when it comes to me. After all, I'm all he has left.

The plane finally began to descend and I could not wait to get off and stretch my legs. I made my way off the plane, grabbed my luggage and began diligently searching for Maggie. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to be face to face with the bitch herself."Maggie!"
"Mae!"I engulfed her in a bone crushing hug not intending on letting go anytime soon.
"I missed you so damn much, Mags"
"I missed you more"I released her from the hug and we began to head out of the airport.

"Are you sure you want to stay with your mom's sister, Mae? I mean your mom did just up and leave with no explanation. How can you be sure your aunt will welcome you?"I appreciated Maggie's concern, I really did. It's one of the many things I love about her.
"Yes, I've already spoke to my Aunt Tara and she and my mom are nothing alike. Plus, have you seen the pool she has? Its gorgeous!"
I let out a sigh as Maggie chuckled.
"I guess you're right. Before you go to your aunt's house to settle in, how about you meet the rest of the prettymuch boys. You've only met Brandon."
"That's because you brought him home with you, Maggie! Of course I've met your boyfriend. He had to pass my test before I willingly let him be your boyfriend," I jokingly state, "but okay. Let's go meet the others."

"Brandonnnn," Maggie yelled as she walked into the boys' house. Brandon came racing to the door once he heard Maggie's voice but stopped short in his tracks when he saw me."Maggie, who's that and why is she so casually standing in my doorway," Brandon scrunched up his eyebrows as he said that. Not in a disgusted way, but a confused way. I giggled softly.
"You mean you don't remember me, Arreaga?" I teased gently.
Brandon perked up after hearing the nickname I have for him. We've called each other by our last names for as long as I can remember.
"ADAMS?! Shut up is that really you," he all by shouted in my ear as he pulled me in for a hug.
"Its me, Arreaga now put me down," I tried to say in a tough voice but it came out harmless.
"Damn you've changed," Brandon said as he stepped back to look at me.
"Yeah, well puberty hit me like a truck speeding down the highway," I said with a laugh. It was true. My boobs grew, my face cleared up, and not to toot my own horn or anything but I was hot. Self confidence got me half way there.
Glancing over Brandon's shoulder I saw another guy notice my presence. He had on Nike socks and a pair of Nike shorts on. His hair was a dark brown/black mess on top of his head, almost as if he had just woken up from a nap. He had no shirt on. I looked down to the floor blushing.
Maggie spoke up, "Nick, this is Mae. She's my best friend from back home and she's staying in L.A. for a little while."
He came over and grabbed my hand pressing a light kiss to the back of it, "Nice to meet you, Mae."
I could physically feel my cheeks redden. Brandon cleared his throat and said something but I didn't hear him. All I could hear was my heart pounding as Nick led me further into the house with his hand on the small of my back, and a smirk plastered on his handsome face.
Fuck.
