Chapter 7

I never keep up with my journal anymore. I felt like it was my sad little place where I could keep my thoughts. But now, ever since I've had Jack I haven't needed to write. I still had a decision to make though. Whether to go to LA or not. Cameron is still the only person who knows. I don't know how to tell Jack.

I woke up the morning after the concert with memories from last night. I was in Jack's house. Crap. I should get home before Sam knows I'm gone or before Jack's parents come home. I quickly get up and peek into Jack's room. He is asleep holding his pillow. It's quite cute. I leave him be and walk down the stairs and out the door. I quickly walk over to my own house.

When I get to my door I notice only Sam's car is in the driveway. Cameron's rental car is absent. & My parents are still gone. I walk in quietly making my way to the kitchen. I get a text from my mom which says they won't know when they will be back. Awesome. I hear shuffling down the stairs.

"Where the hell have you been? And where is Cameron?" Sam asked angrily, but tired.

"Don't come in here questioning me when you were the one who left me with no one last night Sam" I retorted. "And I don't know where Cameron is."

"You know how I get when I'm high and there's hot girls and I'm sorry. It's my fault. But, where did you go last night? You and Jack left at the same time so I swear if you were with him," Sam said.

"I slept over at Maddie's." I lied. "You don't have to care about me though." I said.

"Yes I do. You're my responsibility. I'm a terrible brother." He said.

"Shut up I'm mom and dad's to take care of." I argued.

"Yeah and where the fuck are they? And when the fuck are they coming back? They don't care about us." He yelled.

I put my head down. This time I didn't say anything, because it's true. They're hardly ever home and I'm not sure why.

"I have to take care of you, goddammit I have to change. I don't know what I'd do without you, Alexa. You're the only family I have." Sam said in a quiet voice.

"Sam it's okay." I said, hugging him.

He wrapped his arms around me kissed my head.

"Why do you hate Jack so much?" I asked.

"He may come off as a good guy, but trust me he's not. I know you like him but the last thing I wanna do is see you get hurt by him, AGAIN. He has a past." He said. I took this in and the phone rings.

"I'll get that." I say. Sam stays in his chair and watches me.

It's Tiffany Cruze.
"Hello?" I answer.

"Hi Alexa! It's Tiffany, you haven't called." She said.

"I'm sorry Tiffany. I haven't made up my mind, I still have more time though don't I?" I asked.

"You have another 10 days." She stated, and hung up. Yesh.

"Who was that? And what haven't you made up your mind about?" Sam asked.

"About 4 days ago I got this offer from Tiffany Cruze to move to LA to be her apprentice." I told him.

"Alexa that's so cool. But please don't leave me..." He said playing with his hands.

"What if you were to come with me! OMG you and your friend Skate could live with me or near me and get a record deal or something!" I said excitedly.

"You really think that could happen??" He asked smiling. I nodded. He ran off to call Nate or Skate (IDEK his name lol.)
I went upstairs to shower, the next MAGCON is in three days.

I called Cameron.
"Hello?" He asked.

"Hi it's Alexa where are you?" I asked, kinda mad.

"Front door." He answered. I hung up and ran to the door.

There stood Cameron holding dunkin donuts and coffee.

"I'm sorry for leaving you last night?" He said.

"Ergh." I turned around to yell upstairs, "Sam! Cameron brought food."

We ate and told Cameron our plan about LA.

"I wish I could go to LA. Nash and I want to move there together!" Cameron said.

"You should come. But buy your own house cause mine will be full." I joked.
There was a knock coming from the door.

"I got it." Cameron said. I didn't know who would be coming.

"Ummm, Alexa?" Cameron asked. I went to the door and there stood Jack.
He looked like he just rolled out of bed. But it was cute.

"Why are you even here man?" Jack rudely asked. What the heck?

"He's staying here." I said. Why is Jack being so rude?

"Alexa can I talk to you?" He looked at Cameron then back at me, "alone?" He stated. I turned to Cameron and quietly said,

"Do not tell Sam it's Jack. Say it's Maddie or something. He'd get pissed."

"Alexa I'm pissed right now. We are having a talk after he's gone." He said looking at Jack. Then he walked away. I stepped outside an shut the door behind me.

"What's up?" I asked monotone.

"First off why is Cameron staying here?" Jack asked.

"He won tickets to the concert for Omaha and I wasn't going to make him pay to stay in a hotel." I said.

"Oh he would have survived." Jack said.

"Jack why are you really here?" I asked.

"Why didn't you wake me up to tell me you were leaving?" He asked.

"It was early and I needed to come home." I said.

"Okay. Well I wanna take you out later if I can..." He said.

"Well I want you to stop being rude if you can..." I said.

He rolled his eyes at me.

"Seriously with the eye roll?" I asked.

"I'm just kidding. Sorry I was just a little jealous. Okay 7 okay?" He asked.
I nodded.

Now I have to lie to Sam. He drove off and Shawn came.

"Hey Alexa can I come in I brought food and flowers and I miss seeing ya." He said. Shawn is a sweetheart what do I do? I let him in. Sam looks up.

"Shawn, my man." Sam said giving him a handshake. I placed the flowers on the counter. Mental note to put them in a vase. Cameron came over.

"Jack? Really Alexa." He said.
I told him the entire story about Jack and I including the conversation.

"you're going to go on a date with him even though what he just did?" Cameron asked.
"I feel like I deserve to give him a chance." I said.

"You're stupid, Alexa. He's gonna break your heart. And Sam hates him. I can't believe you." He rolled his eyes and walked off.

Why is Cameron acting like this? He's suppose to be my best friend.
I need a plan for tonight so I can see Jack tonight. I sat down at the table and watched Shawn and Sam argue about some sports team. Shawn looked over and smiled at me. I smiled back. Shawn is so cute and a perfect gentlemen. What if I pretend to go on a "date" with him when I was really going to see Jack?

//I'm sorry I didn't really elaborate on Sam and Alexa's parents. Basically there never home. {Something's gonna happen with them later on, but don't worry there not gonna die lol} Also I'm including the Magcon split so get ready for the heartbreak. Lastly, I'm sorry for Alexa's character right now. She wants to date Jack but doesn't want Sam to find out so she's gonna be a little rude. I think it's cute how Sam is acting like a parent though.
