Virgil's POV
"How do we get to Remus?" Deceit asked, still marveling at his 'ghost mode' form.I sighed before responding . "It's quite simple. You focus on his energy and sink out. When you reappear, it will be in Remus's void."
"How do I know I will become stuck in his void?"
"As long as your body is unharmed, you can return to it at any time." I answered, ignoring his small lie. "That is how I don't get stuck with you, my body is in the room the Light Sides gave me. Now, are you ready to go?"
He nodded, and we started to sink out. When I popped back up it was into a third dark, endless void, although this one felt different somehow. I turned around when I heard laughter coming from behind me. I saw Deceit appear next to me but I ignored him, focusing instead on the side in front of me.
"Remus!" I barked. He floated up and tilted back, so he was looking at us upside down. He had an unnaturally wide smile on his face and his eyes were shining. He also had a strange shock of white in the front of his hair, something that was not there last time I had seen him.
"Hi you" he said in a scratchy, high-pitched voice. He flipped upright and started to talk, but he wasn't looking at either one of us. "So, as I was saying: you should have gone for a more direct kill, Evil Queen. The Apple just put her to sleep and the prince was able to wake her up, a knife to the back would have been both effective and hilarious. And Scar, if you had wanted complete control over the kingdom, you shouldn't have let Simba go. You should have torn that punk apart limb from limb. Hehehehe!"
As he was giggling, Deceit turned to me, eyebrows raised. "Perfect. He's completely sane" he said, his voice flat.
"Shut up" I growled, while marching over to Remus. I grabbed him by the shoulders and roughly turned him around. "Remus. Do you know who we are?"
He grinned his psychotic smile at me and waited until I let go to answer. "Well, that one over there looks like my old pal Dee, he wasn't so snaky, however." I glanced over to see Deceit subconsciously touching his new scales, his face sad. "But I've never seen you before in my life."
It was then when I realized that I was still in my Anxiety form. Flipping between my two forms is very exhausting, so, even though I prefer my normal form, I usually stay as Anxiety. I snapped my fingers and the black mist surrounded me. When it dissipated, Remus's smile got even wider and he hugged me excitedly.
"Fear!" He cried, when I forced him to let go. "Your here! I'm so happy! What's up with your eyes? They are all black and purple. Ohh! That means you really are Dee! What's up with your whole snake face thing?" He turned around, again facing the void. "Malificent, aren't you happy! My friends are finally here to rescue me!"
That's when I lost it. I flipped him around and started to yell, my voice demonic. "Remus, you idiot! There is no one else here! Just you, Deceit, and I! Stop being a moron and come to grips with reality, so you can be useful instead of a burden!"
His smile faltered. "Fear?" He asked, on the verge of tears. "W-why are you being so mean?"
I was about to yell some more, when I felt a familiar tug, someone was about to enter my room. I frowned, releasing Remus and turning to Deceit. "Tell him my plan, I'll be back soon" I muttered before returning to my body.
Patton's POV
"Hey kiddo" I called. "Do you want some cookies? I made them just for you." It's been about a week since Anxiety woke up, and he hasn't left his room. Logan is the only one whose seen him and that was on the day he woke up. Come to think of it, Logan had been acting really weird that day, all sad and unfocused. He was fine now, but I wonder what was bothering him."Don't even bother" Roman said while walking past, on the way to his room. Surly Temple isn't going to answer, and even it he does, he's going to be a jerk about the cookies."
Then he entered his room and shut the door.I sighed, the plate drooping in my hands. I felt bad for this side. He made one mistake and now we all hate and shun him. I was about to leave, when the dark colored door opened.
"What do you want?" He asked gruffly, glaring out through the crack.
I perked up immediately. "Kiddo! I brought you some cookies!"
"Why!" He ground out, skeptical.
I was shocked at first. He was turning down cookies! Then a sly smile crossed my face. "Well, I heard you were feeling crummy and thought that some cookies might just bake your day."
He looked at me at cracked a small smile. "Did you just make a dad joke?" He questioned.
"Of course!" I replied, giggling. "Now, do you want some cookies?"
"Thanks" he said, taking the plate. With the small smile still on his face, he closed the door. The moment he closed the door, I had a small dance party. Beaming, I started to walk towards the living room. Maybe I can get Anxiety to open up after all.
Deceit's POV
The second after Fear left, Remus started to cry. "W-what was w-wrong with F-Fear? He's n-never y-y-yelled at m-me b-before.""Remus, please don't calm down. It's not going to be ok." I was unsure what to do. I haven't had to comfort someone for a very long time.
"Why was he acting so strange" His tears had slowed, but he still looked broken.
"Fear didn't spend his time in the void focusing on revenge. He isn't mean and cruel now and is definitely the same Fear we knew all those years ago."
"So, he isn't our Fear anymore? He isn't the funny, kind, side that we knew and loved?" Remus sniffled, looking at me.
"You are incorrect" I replied, then I sighed. "Now, I'm not going to tell you his plan because if I don't he definitely won't be angry. So basically, Fear isn't going to pretend to be an made-up side called Anxiety, while in the for you didn't see when we appeared. If we join him he isn't going to help us out and we won't get revenge on the Light Sides. I haven't already joined, so you want to?"
At the mention of revenge, Remus's face completely changed. He went from crying to smiling sadistically in half a second. "You mean I get revenge on Morality and Logic and Roman."
I nodded and he leaped up, excited. "YES!!!" He screamed just as Fear came back.
"Morality is an idiot." He said, laughing in a strange, crazed manor. "He gave me cookies and made dad jokes. He is going to be the easiest to trick out of all three of them. Ha"
"I want to join. Please let me! For all things Disney, please, please, please!" Remus pleaded, bounding over to Fear.
"You told him everything?" Fear asked, looking over at me. I nodded, and he smiled, looking satisfied.
"Ok Remus, you can join me. I will be helping you escape as long as you do as I say and don't question me." Remus nodded quickly and Fear laughed triumphantly. "Alright then, let's get started. Remus you need to work on becoming more sane. I will be coming to help you escape the void on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays." Then he turned to me. "I will be helping you on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Sunday's are for me to recover my energy." He started to walk towards me and when he was directly in front of me, he spoke again, a scary tone to his voice. "Oh and Deceit, I'm going to need some acting lessons."
