|Ace Carlyle|
It's been a week since Lotus left, I think, that's what Elias told me at least. Emerson is coming back home this afternoon but he is moving into the pool house where he'll be away from stress. He helped me find a man to replace him for the next month which I think calms him down, knowing he chose him.
"Elias," I walked into my friend's bedroom fidgeting with my fingers "ha-has Charlie called you?" he was sitting on his bed.
"No Ace, but he said he would as soon as he finds something; she's smart Ace. I'm sure she's okay."
"I know she's okay," my hands wouldn't stop shaking which frustrated me. "What if we never find her, Elias?" tears flooded my eyes.
My best friend stood up and approached me "Don't say that, we will find her–"
"She could have a fake passport and be on the other side of the world by now," an anxiety rush conquered my body "or she could be in danger; she doesn't like conflict, Elias," our eyes locked. "Some guys tried to rape her at the club where she worked at, they thought they had some right over her just because of her previous job–" my eyes went wide at a realization. "What if she told one of her porn friends where she is?!" I rushed back to my bedroom to call Charlie.
"Ace!" Elias exclaimed following me "I've already asked Charlie to talk to the performers she worked with."
From my night table, I grabbed the necklace I gave Lotus in Aspen "I'm going to Vegas, maybe that Nathan asshole knows something about–"
"Calm down, Ace," he gripped my shoulders trying to stop me "this won't do you any good; you are shaking, you haven't slept or eaten in two days," Elias was calm. "We just need to let Charlie do his–"
"SHE WAS STANDING IN THAT ROOM, ELIAS!" I shouted pointing at my closet door "SHE WAS IN THAT ROOM WHILE I CHEATED ON HER! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT DOES TO A PERSON?!" my breathing was heavy as I paced around the room gripping the necklace in my fist "I was going to tell her I loved her..." I halted in front of a window facing the backyard; the pool is being cleaned. "And I fucked everything up!" I punched the glass, breaking it.
"Ace!" Elias leaped to me and checked my bleeding hand; it was bleeding quite a lot but it didn't hurt, I couldn't hear him either and it felt as if I was zooming in and out of the world without any control whatsoever.

"Hi, Clara," I said trying to sound excited.
"Hi, gorgeous!" she exclaimed making my headache worse; it's not her fault, of course. "How are things in NYC?"
I sniffled looking at the people walking around me "Yeah, fine. I don't have much time, I have some errands to run for my boss but could I talk with V for a second?"
"Lotus, you don't sound–"
"Please," I begged and the next thing I heard was Vanya's voice.
"Hi aunt Lotus!" my little man exclaimed into the phone "I've missed you so much!"
Tears flooded my eyes as my throat tightened "I've missed you so much too, it's wonderful to hear your voice. Your mom told me you're all set up at your new home in Russia with your daddy and the rest of your family," I did my best to sound happy.
"Yes," he replied with a giggle "when are you coming to visit? Can we FaceTime? I miss your face."
All the people around me got up; I looked to my right and lines were forming "I can't FaceTime right now, baby but I promise you we can do it tomorrow night, just before you go to sleep. Okay?"
