I felt my eyes flutter, and I realized I was lying on my couch. Funny, I didn't remember wanting to take a nap.

"Dean." I heard someone say, apparently to another person in my house as a separate set of feet started walking toward me.

Groggily opening my eyes, I looked around, moving to lean on my elbow

The man I now know as Dean kneeled in front of me, then offered a glass of water. "Hey princess, how ya feelin'?"

After attempting to speak, I noticed how dry my throat is. "How long was I out?"

"Four hours, sixteen minutes, and 34 - 35 - 36 seconds." The guy in the trench coat answered matter-of-factly.

"What? What the hell happened?" I began to panic, remembering the call to 911 to report these men.

"You were attacked. We saved you." Dean answered calmly.

As I tried to sit up, everything came rushing back, making me dizzy.

Dean put his hand on my shoulder to keep me steady. "Whoa, whoa. Slow down there, sweetie. Don't want you passin' out on us."

"Sorry, I - uh - wait a hot minute, I was stabbed. I was stabbed? How am I not bleeding to death, paralyzed, or in a hospital?" My earlier suspicions resurface, confusing me as to why these men wanted to keep what happened from the police.

"We, uh - we thought it would be better to keep police and local news away from this little incident. Don't want anyone gettin themselves hurt, or worse, in our way." Dean replied smoothly. "Castiel here fixed you up. He's - he's an angel."

I gave Dean a confused look before glancing over at the man standing at the living room entryway, trying to come up with a reason as to why Dean would refer to him as an angel. Are they gay? I looked back over at Dean and ask, with an innocent façade for who knows why, "So he's good with a first aid kit?" After mentally face-palming myself, I just ask outright. "Or are you two...together?"

"What? No! Destiel is not real." Dean snapped.

Oh my good lord how did I not make the connection sooner?

This was Dean from the books by Carver Edlund!

Erin always went on about them, and nagged me to read at least one book until I finally caved in.  I loved it, but I wasn't going to tell her that so I lied and told her it wasn't my cup of Jo. Because I was so determined that no one would know I liked the book, I left it at one book. I only read the first one, and a couple of pages from the last book. I don't know why I skipped ahead, especially since I regretted it. Anyway, I didn't read the others because I didn't want to slip up one day and make a reference or something.

That man that attacked me must have been a shape shifter!

This man in front of me was Dean Winchester!

And by the entryway was Castiel!

Erin would kill to meet Dean and Cas. Too bad she's not around anymore...but maybe...

Death is the Winchester's bitch! Maybe there was a way for me to get her back.

"Hey, Alex! Were you even listening?" Dean snapped his fingers in front of me to catch my attention.

With a plan in mind, I came back to reality. "What? Oh, yea, no. What were you saying, Dean?"

Dean sighed before speaking. "I said, Castiel is an actual angel. Like, with wings and stuff."

"It is true." Cas spoke up. "I am an angel of the lord."

"Prove it." I challenged.

"Fine. Are you a fan of the Eiffel Tower?" Castiel asked.

"Yes, but what does that have to do with anything?" I replied.

Castiel then hooked his arm around mine, and in the blink of an eye I was on the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.

"Whoa! Now I can cross that off my bucket list!" I exclaimed. The view was amazing.

I absorbed as much of the view as I could before Cas took me back. I knew lying and acting as if I didn't believe Cas was an angel was wrong, but I'm just not sure Dean would be too happy if I told him just now that I read a book about him. Especially since that book included a load of personal information and, well, some very detailed descriptions of him, his brother, and Castiel. I began to salivate just thinking about those in-depth, graphic scenes. Besides, lying got me here, atop the Eiffel Tower.

Just as I blinked, we were back in my living room. "Aw." I pouted a bit, already missing Paris.

"Yea, yea, beautiful view. Look, we're runnin outta time, we gotta get you outta here." Dean stated in a slightly worried tone. I then noticed a body in my dining room, adjacent to the living room, with its head ten feet away. Dean then looked at Castiel and tells him something that would change my life forever.

"Someone is targeting Alexandra."

Yes, it's a short chapter. I'm sorry, it's just kind of a filler. The next one will be long, I promise!
