"You do too bitch" I said climbing into the passenger seat. "I can't wait until we get to school." She said really excitedly. She's never excited to go to school? What's up with her today. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" She said focusing on the road. Whatever. Anyways it's been like a month since the party and everything has been normal. Hector moved schools after the incident which I'm super happy about. Me, Ari, and all the boys have gotten closer....actually Mattia and I have gotten closer. We pulled up in the school parking lot, and I seen a crowd of people. "What the hell is going on?" She asked as we both unbuckled our seat belts. "I don't know." I said. We both got out of the car, then we seen Kairi, Ale, and Roshaun run to us. "Layla, it's Mattia." Kairi said out of breathe. "What do you mean?" I asked starting to get scared. "He's about to get jumped." Ale said catching his breathe. "WHAT? And y'all didn't help?" I said and started running to the big group of people. It was like all I could see was red, Mattia was about to get jumped and his friends ran to me and didn't stop to help him. I finally got to the middle of the group and they were right Mattia was on the ground in the middle of a smaller group of boys beating on him. I ran to them and pushed a kid. "Get the fuck away from him!" I screamed at them Mattia's POV* We had a formal coming up, and since me and Layla were closer I wanted to ask her to go with me. My plan sucked ass honestly but it was better than nothing. So I gathered all the boys the day before and told them what to do. I had some friends that Layla didn't know help out.(kids that "jumped" Mattia) The day finally rolled around and like planned Ari picked up Layla, the boys ran to her saying that I was getting jumped, but I didn't know she was gonna jump in and try to help. "Get the fuck away from him!" She screamed. The boys backed away and like planned I had the sign. At first she didn't even notice. "Oh my god Mattia are you okay?" She said and crouched down to tend to me. "Layla look at the sign." I said. She looked down at the sign, her eyes widened. "Are you for real?" She said. "Yes." I said a chuckled. "I really thought you were getting jumped, what the hell." She said with a small smile. "Yes? No? Maybe so?" I asked. "Yes, I'll go to the formal with you. You're such an idiot I swear Mattia Polibio." The crowd erupted with cheers for us both. "Come on." She said getting up and lending me her hand. Layla's POV* It was around 4th period, Me and Kairi were sitting near the back just talking when the door opened. "We have a returning student class, please be nice." The Teacher said. Kairi gasped intensely. "Are you okay Kai?" I asked a little confused. "Hey Kairi." The girl said. " I don't think we've met yet, I'm Jena."
