Josh and I have been hanging out all weekend, it was nice to be around it again I forgot how funny he was.
"What school are you going to?" I asked while I sat on his bed.
"Uhm I think Passic high." He said while playing his game.
"That's where I go." I said and sat up a little.
"So we're going to the same school?" He said turning around.
"I guess asshat." He gave out a little chuckle turning his attention back on his game.
Monday*
I had picked Josh up and we were going to school together, he didn't know where anything was so I would have to show him around.
We pulled up in the parking lot.
"Are you ready?" I asked him taking off my seatbelt.
"Yeah, but you don't look ready." He said doing the same.
"Eh, it is what it is." I said and got out of the car.
We walked in and a bunch of girls were looking at us, I walked him into the front office so he could get his schedule.
We then walked to my locker and met up with Ari, Mariano, and Roshaun.
"Where's everyone else?" I asked.
They didn't look at me, out of the corner of my eye I seen Mattia and Jena with a little Alvaro, Ale, and Kairi walking behind them. Kairi seen I was looking so he gave a little wave, I gave it a weak smile before turning back around.
"Who's that?" Mariano asked looking at Josh.
"This is my ex Josh." I said.
Ari looked at me.
"We're just friends right now." I said and sighed.
"Right now." Roshaun said and nudged Ari.
They both giggle before the bell rang.
"Whatever you guys, come on Josh I'll walk you to class." I said and pulled Josh after me.
"Your friends seem nice." He said and chuckled.
"They're just some asshats." I said with a small smile.
"This is your first period, I'll be down the hall." I said before giving him a hug, he walked into him class as I seen Mattia behind him walking towards us.
I turned around and started walking to my...our class.
"Text me if you need me Josh." I said.
"Okay bye mamas." He said.
"Shut up." I laughed.
I didn't even notice how jealous Mattia had gotten behind me.
I rounded the corner when I felt someone grab my shoulder.
"Layla!" I heard a familiar voice say.
I didn't even want to turn around, I just moved my shoulder making his hand fall.
"You can't just ignore me forever." He said, I was still walking.
"I'm gonna try." I said not trying to pay attention to him.
"Who was that?" He said grabbing my hand this time, I pulled it away from him.
"I don't understand why you care so much about me." I said pausing to look at him.
He just looked at me.
"Pfft whatever, I'm already late." I said and started walking again.
I walked into class and he walked in after me.
"Why are you two late?" The teacher asked.
"I walked a new student to class." I said walking to my seat.
"What about your Mr. Polibio?" She said adjusting her glasses.
"U-uhm I went with her." He said making up an excuse.
"Next time only one person needs to walk them to class got it?" She said turning to the smart board.
"Yes." We both said sliding into our seats.
"Well since you two were late you guys and be partners." She said.
"I don't thi-" She cut me off.
"Think about your project not your social life." She said starting her lesson.
I just crossed my arms and sat back.
Lunch*
Ari, Josh, Mariano, and I all sat at a table together.
"So how is your first day going?" Ari asked Josh, I started to zone out until I heard someone call my name.
"Layla!" I turned around to see Mattia walking towards my table.
"Oh god." I whispered, Josh looked at me confused.
"Layla, can we talk?" He asked.
"No." I said not even turning around.
"Please?" He seemed desperate.
"She said no dude." Josh said started to get up.
"Hey, it's fine." I said and pulled him back down.
"This doesn't involve you." Mattia said back.
"You've been bugging her all day by the looks of it." Josh said started to get mad.
"Mattia? What are you doing over here?" Jena said walking over as well.
"I came over to try and talk to Layla, but this dumbass started to get in my face." Mattia told Jena, Josh still looking at Mattia. My hand was still on Josh trying to pull him down.
"Layla I think you need to control your boy toy." Layla said trying to pull Mattia away.
"Excuse me?" I said turning around to look at her.
"I said you need to control your boyfriend." She said.
"You need to control YOUR boyfriend, mine didn't wander off to another table starting shit. Josh is right, Mattia has been bothering me all day and I didn't see you try to stop it." I stated back at them both, Mattia looked shocked but Jena just wouldn't back down.
"Layla...are you jealous?" She asked looking me directly in my eyes.
"What!?" I said.
"You are, because I stole Mattia from you. I feel bad Cameron told me about your little fling but I didn't know you felt this way about my man." She started to walk close to me.
"Jena-" Mattia said but Jena put her finger up to shush him.
"I can't believe you thought you ever had a cha-" I cut her off by punching her in her in the face, she fell to the ground and I got on top of her.
All I could see was red, I didn't care the the security guards came running out, or that the whole school was watching I didn't even care that my friends were hyping me up.
The security guards dragged me off of her and everything seemed to be in slow motion, I looked at Mattia before they put handcuffs on me and started walking me to the office, he looked like he was sorry. But nothing could forgive the way she just treated me.
