It was lunch time, I met up with Ale, Ari, Kairi, and Roshuan.
"What's up guys?" I said, they all looked nervous.
"H-hey Layla." Ari said not making eye contact with me.
"Is everything okay?" I asked getting a little worried.
"She's already met her anyway." Kairi said breaking the silence.
"Who? What's going on?" I asked panicking.
"It's Jena..." Roshaun started to say.
"What about her?" I asked.
"She's Mattias ex." Ari said.
"So what's the problem?" I asked.
"She's Mattias toxic ex that always gets in the way of his relationships, she left and we thought she was gone for good." Kairi said.
"'Do you guys think she's going to get in the middle of us? I asked.
"I don't know." Kairi said.
The bell rung.
"Let's just go to lunch, I'm getting hungry anyway." I said, we all started walking to lunch.
We walked to our table, when we got closer I seen that Jena was sitting next to Mattia.
I turned around and looked at Ari.
She put her arm around my shoulder.
"It's okay." She whispered in my ear.
"Is is really though." I said and turned back to the table.
"Hey guys." Kairi said sitting down.
"What's up." Jena said.
"Nothing much, we haven't seen you around Mattia where have you been?" I asked sitting next to Kairi.
"Uhm....I've been with Jena." He said.
My heart sunk into my chest, I couldn't eat at all.
The bell rung, Mattia and I have the next class together.
I started walking to class until I heard someone say my name.
"Layla!" I turned around and it was Mattia.
I stopped so he could catch up.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah..." I said not looking at him.
"No your not, Layla what's wrong?" He said a little concerned.
" I heard things about you and Jena and I feel like she's gonna get in the way of us and I REALLY want a chance with us." I said out of breathe from talking so fast.
Mattia looked at me in shock.
"Woah woah Layla she's the past, I don't want her. I want a chance with us too, it's just hard not to talk to her because we are so close." He said.
I felt a little relieved.
"Okay." I said with a smile.
"Com one." He said, he grabbed my hand and walked me to class.
