"HOW'S YOUR NOSE DOING?" BLAINE QUESTIONED CHARLOTTE, placing two cups of coffee down at a small corner table inside the Lima Bean.
After Blaine had cleaned up her bloody nose, courtesy of Karofsky, they had gone back into the cafeteria to meet Kurt. Sure enough, he had retrieved her phone number soon after, causing Kurt to shoot her a knowing glance when Blaine wasn't looking. A few hours after leaving McKinley, he had texted Charlotte to reaffirm an outing for coffee that Sunday, an event she could've sworn she had dreamt up along with him cleaning her face up in the bathroom. Though it took getting a bloody and bruised nose, Charlotte was proud that Karofsky had not only been lashed back at, but that her brother's teammate had asked her out without her having to relentlessly chase after him herself. As for Elliott... she just wouldn't tell him all of the details yet.
"A lot better," Charlotte admitted as Blaine sat down in front of her, taking off his coat. "With some makeup on, you would never even guess anything happened." She gingerly touched her nose as he leaned across the table to inspect, coffee in hand.
"You're right," he agreed, the side of his lip caught between his teeth. "Keep that up, and your parents'll never even find out." Blaine lightly hit the table, remembrance lighting up on his face. "Speaking of which, I told Elliott everything... well, everything except for the part about Karofsky hitting you. In the case that anyone does find out, it won't be from me." He sipped his coffee.
Charlotte nodded, picking up her own coffee and looking across the shop to the horizontal wall-length window. It was a cold and rainy day, the kind that made you want to stay inside with a warm drink and a pile of blankets. "Did he say anything?" she asked, her eyes flickering back to Blaine's. "I know he buries himself in his schoolwork, but he's been so distant lately. Actually, ever since I called him asking you guys to help Kurt."
Blaine tilted his head a little with a small shake, looking down at his drink before looking back up at Charlotte. "I wouldn't sweat it too much. You know how Elliott is, he doesn't stop until he's at the top of his class. He pushed for weeks to get that duet you saw the other day." Blaine spoke, making a wide hand gesture. "He's probably just worried and busy, which is understandable." He looked out the window, a boyish smirk on his face before he met Charlotte's eyes again. "If we do this again, we'll have to bring some homework. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but Dalton's no joke." Blaine grinned, waiting for Charlotte's response as she almost choked on her coffee.
"I beg to differ," Charlotte gasped, a wide grin appearing as Blaine laughed at her. "You don't even want to know half of the things Finn and Puck say in health class."
