"Hello-"

"I didn't mean for it to take so long." All Might said quickly. "What? What do you mean?" You tossed your bag in the passenger seat as you got in your car after too long of a shift at the karaoke bar. "To call you. It's been two days."

"You called when you were ready." You said starting the engine, your phone connected to the bluetooth. "There was never a rush. How's my Might?" You asked pulling off into your midnight drive to nurture Cherry's plants. My Might? What the hell was that?

"Better." He answered. "Oh yeah? That's good to hear." You smiled to yourself and glanced at the time. "What's got you up at this hour?"

"I'm patrolling."

"Ah, I could've guessed that. Wait, should you be on the phone right now?"

"Why? Are you gonna report me?" He laughed. "Report to who?" You joined. "To you?" You came to a red light and grabbed your phone. "It would end up that way, wouldn't it?"

"It sure would." You replied while sending a text.

Hey, you

One of your guys is fuckin around on the clock

"What?" Might looked at his phone, reading over what you sent. "Damn rookies." He sucked his teeth. "Thanks for the heads-up."

"No problem, boss." You continued driving as the light turned green. "What are you up to this evening?" Might questioned. "I'm plant-sitting for a friend of mine."

"Plant-sitting?"

"Ew. I can hear the face you're making." You cringed as Might chortled. "And yes, plant-sitting. She's on vacation and her babies have scheduled feeding times."

"I get the feeling she left you a list."

"You've got the right feeling then. I've learned all their names too." You said, your destination coming into view. The cluster of apartments was just a few blocks away.

"You say that like it's an accomplishment of yours. She must have many." Might deduced. "Too damn many," you laughed, "but I've found myself loving them as much as her."

Finally, you pulled up to Cherry's apartment, scaling the stares up to her door and entering. "Some of them only get watered on specific days. She's even left a measuring cup for me." You introduced the ones you watered, speaking quietly as to not wake them.

"You're enjoying yourself over there. Do you garden?" The hero asked.

"Nope." You set the cup in the sink. "I have before, but I don't have much of a green thumb."

"Sounds like you do." Might replied.

"Okay, big guy." You rolled your eyes, the kettle warming water on the counter behind you. "What are you watching for this late anyway?" You asked innocently, browsing through the extensive collection of tea.

"I'm sure you've been keeping up with the news." That's one hell of an answer. "Oh." Your eyes went wide for a moment as you picked up a bag of chamomile and began to make your cup. "Yeeaaaah. I've been trying to avoid that topic."

"If I'm being honest, I appreciate it. The sneaky bastard leaves nothing behind."

"That's what I gather." You sighed over the mug, the steam blowing in every direction. "Anyway." You moved to the living area and changed the subject. "Mr. All Might, sir, bossman, big guy, you-"

"Oh, please continue."

"I don't know your name so," you shrugged and pulled out the hidden bed from the couch. "You'll have to give me time to think of more, okay?" Might said nothing for a while. You took the chance to sit down and get comfortable. "Hello?"

"I'm here, I just got distracted for a second there."

"I think I'm technically the distraction...since you're working." You snickered. "A pleasant distraction." He confessed. "I'm flattered." You tried to bring your grin down as you drank. Not a total failure. Some of the liquid escaped running down your chin. Shit. You wiped it away with the back of your palm. "So tell me about your day." You draped a sheet over your legs and rested against the arm of the couch.

"What?"

"Your day, tell me about it." You said before sipping again.

"I think you'd consider it boring."

"Poor Symbol of Peace." You sniffed. "Bringing the crime rate so low he thinks I don't care to know how his day was."

"Okay, ouch." Might laughed, taken aback some.

"I wanna know!" You pressed. "I don't care if it's 'boring'!"

"I woke up this morning and-" You yawned rather loud, cutting him off. "Oh my goodness, you were right!" You teased. "You should've told me you were a comedian." He sighed. "There's so much you still don't know." Your grin grew. "Care to elaborate?" The curiosity in his voice leaked through the receiver. "You first. I've got you here now...talk to me."

Where did the time go? You moved on to the balcony, resting your elbows on the railing.

"Might." You cooed.

"Hm?"

"The sun's coming up." The cool morning breeze came in with the scattered hues of purple and blue. "You'd enjoy the view from where I am."

"Think so? Send me a picture?" You eyed the few cars that took their leave in the early morning, headlights like fireflies shooting down the roads. Your phone vibrated on your cheek. Your earbuds long ago died and were now on the charger, you had switched to holding the phone itself.

The hero had done what you asked. What building is he on top of? He was much higher than you, half the sun already visible past the skyline. What was mauve on your end had gave way to a soft pink for him. "It's gorgeous." You said bringing the phone back to your ear. "I'm jealous."

"Don't be, I'll just have to get you up here one of these days."

"I'd love that." You said through a yawn. "Oof, excuse me."

"I...I didn't mean to keep you up for so long."

"It's fine," you tried to wipe the fatigue from your eyes. "I enjoyed it."

"You don't have to work, do you?" Might asked hesitantly. "Um, well." You checked the time. "Not for another five hours."

He groaned. "You should've told me." You tried, not blatantly, but you tried. After three or four attempts over the course of the five hour call you learned that subtle hints go over his head when you're not face to face. "Calm down, I have time for a power nap." You laughed, turning your back to the sky and going inside.

"Can I get you a coffee?" Might offered. "That sounds amazing, but it'll cut into my nap time." You looked over the sheets as they beckoned to you.

"Are you sure? I could bring it to you."

"Aren't you the sweetest?" You yawned again. "I'll take a rain check. Is that alright?" With a stretch, you shuffled inside and under the covers. "I-"

"Stop apologizing, big guy. I'm not upset, I had fun." You assured him, he sighed. "...I'm going to hold you to that rain check."

"Please do. I'm sure you're tired, you should get some rest too."

"Not just yet. I've got more I could do."

"Mmm well be safe?" Your body worked against you, another yawn escaping. "Go to sleep." He chuckled. "Oh, I will."

"We'll talk soon, goodnight."

"Goodmorning, big guy." You corrected.

"Goodmorning."
