Chapter 14

My shift is finally over. I got to hang out with Ryan for a bit during my break.

Angel walks in as I'm wiping off tables. "Hey pretty girl you ready?" She asks I nod and clock out.

"Daniel gave me your bag when I stopped by your apartment" she says as we walk out to her car.

We get into the car and I buckle my seat belt. "That whole thing with Ryan and Daniel earlier was stressful. You couldn't could the tension with a knife" she tells me I nod "Yeah I have no fucking idea what was going on between them it was so weird" I tell her as we start driving towards her apartment.

"I know" she says "What is it?" I ask "They both have feelings for you" she tells me I laugh. "Yeah I know Ryan does but Daniel definitely doesn't" I tell her "Ok whatever you say" she tells me.

"So can you confidently tell me that you aren't dating Ryan to get over your feelings for Daniel?" She asks "I don't have feelings for Daniel" I say.

"Right. So you don't have feelings for Daniel. Your eyes don't light up when he talks to you. You definitely don't have the lightest blush on your cheeks whenever he touches you. You pupils also never dilate when you look at him." She tells me I roll my eyes "Daniel definitely doesn't look at you like you are his whole world, like your everything he could ever dream to have. He definitely doesn't stare at you while you are talking to someone else admiring you and everything you are. He also doesn't get this look on his face while your holding hands or talking with Ryan, like he wishes it was him" she says.

"If you so convinced that Daniel and I like each other. What about Ryan and I what do we act like together?" I ask "Oh I don't pay attention to him his teeth or so white it hurts my eyes" I laugh as we pull up to her apartment.

We go up to her apartment and I toss my bag onto the couch.

"I can't wait to get out of this uniform" I say I grab my pajamas out of my bag and change.

I sit on the couch next to Angel "Seriously though how are you and Ryan?" She asks "We are good we've literally only been dating for a day" I tell her.

"Many things can change in a day chica" she points out. "True" I tell her my phone rings and I think I know exactly who it is.

I see Daniel's name pop up on my screen definitely not who I was expecting. "Hey Dani what's up?" I ask 'Put it on speaker' Angel mouths I do as I'm told.

"Hey I just wanted to make sure you got to Angel's house safely" Angel smirks at me "Yeah I'm her alright was that it?" I ask "Yeah I love you have fun and don't be stupid" he tells me "I won't I love you too" I hang up the phone.

"That was odd" I say "How?" Angel asks "He has never done that" I say "mm" Angel says.

We spend the rest of the night having fun and watching movies.
