Chapter 5

I wake up at 9am so I can get Daniel back. I sneak into his room and place a speaker on his nightstand then I quietly exit the room. I put plastic wrap on his doorway.

I turn the speaker up to full volume and I go on my phone and look up that monsters ink theme song then it turns really loud (above).

I play the sound and hear a super loud scream from Daniel. He turns the speaker off and I'm on the floor laughing.

Daniel runs to come and get me but he is thrown back by running into the plastic wrap making me laugh ten times harder.

"You little asshole!" He yells I quickly get off of the floor and run to my room. I put my back against the door and I am still laughing.

"Davi let me in!"he says banging on the door "No" I yell back. After a few minutes Daniel has calmed down and I open my door to see him standing there with a bunch of pillows.

He starts chucking them at me I fall to the ground. "Ow" I pretend like I'm hurt he kneels down by my side. "Oh my god are you ok I'm sorry" he says I push him to the ground and run over to the pillows then I chuck them at him.

He goes into my room and shuts the door. I can hear him rummaging around "Daniel stop snooping around my room" I tell him. He is rummaging through drawers. "Dani seriously stop I just cleaned my room" I plead.

I twist the handle and realize he didn't lock the door. I look and see Daniel sitting on my bed with a few items of my clothing on the floor.

"Nosey much?" I ask he shrugs "I'm sorry but you started it" I tell him he chuckles. I sit on my bed next to his and I wrap my arms around him.

"Are you mad at me?" I ask looking up at him he shakes his head. "Talk to meee" I whine I know I'm being annoying but I don't care.

"What do you want to do today?" He asks "I don't know" I say shrugging "Oh let's go to the park!" He says excited. "I'll meet you in the living room" I tell him and he walks out of my room.

I look through my closet and I grab an orange tank top ripped jeans with my knock off Gucci belt that I bought at the flea market.

I brush my teeth and hair then do light makeup. I put on my contacts and meet Daniel in the living room.

We get in the car and drive to the nearest park which isn't too far away but definitely isn't walking distance.

Daniel parks the car and we get out.

Daniel and I start walking the trail the park had. "This is so pretty" I say walking around looking at the scenery "Yeah it is" Daniel says I look back at him because I was slightly ahead of him and I see him looking back at me.

We walk further up the trail and see this really pretty spot with a lake. I look around to see if there are any signs warning us of alligators.

I tank off my tank top and my jeans. "Davi what are you doing?" He asks me "Going for a swim" I say then I jump in the water. I swim around a little bit and Daniel is standing in the grass with his arms crossed staring at me.

"Come on Daniel the water is nice" I tell him I go under the water and open my eyes taking in the quiet of it. I come back up and see Daniel sitting in the grass.

"Dani come on it's safe" I tell I swim up to shore and stand up on the grass. I grab his wrist so I can get him up.

"Ok fine" he tells me I smile at him. He takes off his shirt and his jeans. I grab his hand we both run towards the water than jump in.

I come up from the water to breath. I wipe my hair out of my face. Daniel comes up after me he picks me up bridal style he walks deeper into the water and throws me in.

I start laughing I swim over to Daniel and tackle him so that we both go under the water. We come back up together Daniel's hands on my waist I put my arms around his neck and we just stay there for a moment our faces getting closer. We get so close that our foreheads are touching. I feel his hot breath on my face. I really want to kiss him but I decide against it.

I ruffle his wet hair he laughs and rolls his eyes.We swim for a while Daniel throwing me in the water many times. After about and hour Daniel and I decide to get dressed again.

We walk around the park for a little while longer. "What do you want for lunch?" Daniel asks "Subway" I tell him he nods and we go back to his car and drive to subway.

We get inside the subway and order our food. We sit in a booth together. "We should go to that park more often it could be like our place" I tell him he looks up at me "That sounds fun but we will have to bring bathing suits with us next time" he tells me. "Definitely I don't like walking around with soggy underwear" I say and we both laugh.

After we lunch we go back to the apartment and I take a shower in my shower because it stopped acting weird.

I put on a gray sports bra and ripped mom jeans with the same belt from earlier.

I walk into the living room and watch TV. My phone buzzes someone followed me on Instagram. It was Angel from the smoothie shop yesterday. I follow her back and she dms me.

'Hey girly I don't know if you remember me but I took your picture yesterday for the photo contest and I thought you were and interesting person so I found your Instagram' I decide to text back 'Hey I don't if I told you yesterday but your hair is so cool' I'm better at talking in person than over text.

'Thank you! I love your hair too is it natural?' 'Yeah my mom has red hair and I guess this means I have no soul😂'

Daniel sits next to me on the couch "Who ya texting?" He asks putting his head on my shoulder "This girl angel I met her at the smoothie shop yesterday" I tell him. I click her profile picture and it takes me to her page I find a picture of her and show him.

"She's cute" he says ouch "Yeah she's pretty, I like her hair" I tell him I lock my phone and place it on the coffee table.

I back up on the couch and put my legs in Daniel's lap. He traces shapes onto my ankles while I watch Never have I ever on Netflix.

I eventually go to my room and listen to some music while I clean up the mess Daniel had made this morning.

I text Angel a bit more and we decide to meet up tomorrow for coffee morning.

There is a knock on my bedroom door. "What do you want for dinner?" He asks from the other side of the door. I crack the door open "Chicken?" I ask "Whatever you want" he kisses me head through the crack of the door.

After dinner I change into some pjs and Daniel comes into my room. He sits behind me in my bed. "Where's your hair brush?" He asks looking around my bed "It's in the bathroom why?" I ask turning around to look at him. "I want to braid your hair" he gets out of my bed goes to my bathroom grabs a hair brush and a hair tie.

He sits behind me on my bed and gently brushes through my hair. "Are things going to change once you start school?" I ask him as he starts braiding my hair "What are you talking about?" He asks me "When you go to school you are going to make more friends and you'll be spending time with them. You'll probably get a girlfriend and what if she doesn't like me?" I immediately regret the word vomit that just came out of my mouth.

Daniel stops braiding my hair and wraps his arms around me. "Davi you are my best friend I will always have time for you. If my girlfriend doesn't like you then screw her. I'm not throwing away a whole friendship for some girl. And yes I am going to make other friends but do are you, I mean aren't you going out for coffee tomorrow morning with that purple haired girl" he tells me. Best friends that's all we are all we ever will be.

I turn around and hug wrapping my legs around his torso "I love you Daniel" I mumble into his shoulders "I love you too Davi" he rubs my back as we continue to hug.

"Now turn back around so I can finish braiding your hair" he tells me and I roll my eyes at him I do as he says and he finishes braiding my hair.

We fall asleep on my bed watching YouTube.
