An eruption of blood bloomed across the pale, white Irish skin of her chest. Her freckles jumped out of the way, while her emotions ran ramshod through her cells.
Death surrounded her.
It was everywhere, dancing in a perverse spiral at her feet.
Choking on adrenaline, she ran, back-tracking out of the forest as fast as her panicked feet would carry her.
Damn it.
It was happening again.
But why?
Not sticking around for an answer, Nora kept running.
Away from the pain.
Away from the hell she knew was waiting for her.
