Mary's POV-Ya know all you read until now? Well that got you caught up to this moment, the present. I could wait to continue mine and my friends story, that started with two kids watching movies in a tree house. This year is a lot of things start to happen that will make a major impact on our story. Ha you'll get my joke in a second. Let's set the scene,
CRASH
My car jerked forward as someone ran into the back of my car pushing me into oncoming traffic, my seat beat knocking against my throat.
CRASH
A truck rammed into the side of my car.
First roll, my head knocked against the drivers window and it breaks leaving my with an instant headache and glass shards lodged into the left side of my face.
Second roll, I slid down further in my seat from the first rotation and my seat belt pushed against my stomach and rib cage knocking the wind out of my body as I heard several cracks.
Third roll, it stops on it's side, driver's window against the pavement my leg molded into the metal door that crushed my leg as a throbbing pain shot from every place in my body. I could hear everything happening around me but I felt lifeless. Soon enough I felt like I was suffocating the faint sound of sirens ringing through the air before everything went black.
I felt myself being placed on a gurney and scooted into an ambulance. The lady checking my vitals kept asking me questions and I tried to answer but nothing came out other than a whimper of a breathe. My eyes rolled to the back of my head before everything went dark again. I rolled awake for the third time but I couldn't move my body. I couldn't see I just felt stabbing pains in my chest and voices rang in the air and a mask covered my face.
Finally everything lit up, I didn't know where I was all I saw was white. I looked down and I was wearing an outfit completely made of white. A little girl ran towards me, her curly dark brown hair in two pigtails on the sides of her head the white tutu fluttering as she jumped into my arms. Her bright green eyes peering up at me almost the exact color of Marcus'. Her lips were full and her little button nose was red with excitement against her tanned skin.
"Mommy you have to wake up" The little girl whispered and when I blinked my scenery changed. Florescent lights blinded me as I stared at the ceiling before glancing around seeing Marcus beside my bed cradling my hand in his as he slept. I slowly sat up the upper half of the mechanical bed waking him. He blinked at me and threw a shoe at my dad, Celia, and Jared.
"Oh my good your awake." Marcus cried and stood up planting a tender kiss on my forehead.
"How long have I been out?" I barely managed to ask in a shivering voice.
"A few days I haven't left this room since I got here" He admits and by the way he smells I could confirm.
"What happened?" I asked trying to reach my arm up to rub my eyes but I could move due to weakness.
"You were in a car wreck" He chokes and Celia looks at me with a sad look on her face.
"How bad" I asked as if I couldn't feel ever painful part of my body, I wanted to know everything wrong with me.
"You got a concussion, a broken femur, and your ribcage collapsed you went in and out of life and death during surgery"
"The baby?"
"It didn't make it. You miscarried." He explained and I cried out clutching my stomach. It was all my fault.
"It's all my fault, my fault our little Marley didn't make it" I waled and Marcus smiled at the name before carefully pulling me into a hug. I felt empty and gross.
