One month later Celia's POV-
Starting college is honestly the most nerve wrecking thing in the world for a freshman, and right now I'm in the middle of campus where I have to check in and get the list of classes and professors I have. Luckily I don't have to stay in the dorms for the first year like some colleges make you do since everything has been going smooth at the house since we finished the road trip. Since no one has classes the first few days so everyone can get settled I went to meet all my professors after checking this rate my professor app. Seeing what you would actually need instead of what the teacher tells you and you end up spending hundreds on stuff you don't need.
Meeting teachers is always the most awkward thing for me you don't meet by fate you have to force the interaction and it just makes me feel awkward. I left the school taking a bus home since Sam needed to use my car since he only had a bike.
"Campus is probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen it is so green and big" I say dropping my stuff on the couch hearing a groan right after.
"Ouch girl" Derek says sprawled over the couch under a blanket making it harder to see him in the dim light.
"Oh my god I'm sorry D I didn't see you and I thought you'd be with Sam" I pointed out picking up my stuff off of his stomach.
"He wouldn't let me, he's being weird I don't really know what's up." He says sitting up slowly pointing towards downstairs.
"Are they all down there?" I ask already knowing the answer.
"Only Mary and Marcus she's still having trouble."
"I know but I think that he is good for her" I nod because Mary had brought us all into the loop about her mental health since the wreck, and miscarriage.
"He is, after hearing about his high school rep I would have never thought they would last this long I mean almost three years is a long time." He points out and I nod missing the feeling of having someone their for you in every way. Nothing had really happened with Jared other than surfing all the time as what looks like as friends, or going out with the others.
"I still can't get over the way he asked her to prom." I sigh remembering the pac-man game.
"It does sound like it was awesome" Derek smiled standing up sliding on his shoes.
"Are you ok?" I ask, a hand rested on his shoulder.
"Yea I just don't want to go to work I have the night shift today." He says lifting his eyebrows before quickly dropping them in a fake yay way. He stepped past me patting my back as he walked out giving a peace sign and quick 'byeee Celia'
I walk to the kitchen and make me a bowl of cereal sitting on the counter as I eat Jared walks in from what i'm guessing is his last class for the day. He sets his stuff down and walks in the kitchen looking at me quickly before looking away getting a bottle of water drinking it a little screwing the lid on.
"How was campus?" He asks and I smile.
"It was amazing, most of the professors are pretty cool plus the dance classes look like it's a healthy environment, I am actually really excited about starting next week."
"That's great C, what about the dance studio you were supposed to go to today?"
"I didn't go yet, do you want to come with me? We can take Mary's jeep then go surfing afterwards."
"Sounds good I'll go get the keys and you can get everything you need." I nod then head to Mary and I's room.
I put on a bathing suit then a white rugrats crop top and pair of black yoga pants that end mid shin. I put on my tennis shoes then pulled half of my hair into a ponytail since that's all that can fit into one since I cut my hair. I pulled my wetsuit out then went outside seeing Jared already in the jeep with the boards. I tossed my suit in the back and got into the vehicle. He started to drive towards the 'Step Dance' studio near the shopping strip we always go to especially Mary for her fabrics. We got to the studio soon enough and went inside.
