Penny had never before had to deal with being in boat chase before yesterday. Actually, she had never been in a normal running chase with two guys and their guns either. Penny didn't look for trouble and so far trouble hadn't come knocking. She had never been in a physical fight because she knew she wouldn't last and probably would get the shit beaten out of her. She hated all types of conflict but she understood it needed to happen sometimes. What she didn't understand was why people used violence as their first instinct, why people couldn't just solve their problems by talking.

So to sit, listening to JJ explain how the two men from the boat were harassing Ms. Lana over some old compass; she was furious. The poor woman had just lost her husband, it was completely barbaric to ransack her home and threaten her like that. However, the thought did hit her that if it was the same old compass that John B was holding at that exact moment she knew they would not give up after an unsuccessful boat chase.

She shook those scary thoughts from her head as she watched JJ animatedly describe his and John B's previous situation at Ms. Lana's home.

"And we were right outside like this," JJ panted, throwing himself up against the wall,"and all we hear is just, 'Bam! Bam! Bam!' Knocking paint off the wall, G! From the inside! All right? And i'm just looking at him, like-- wait, first off, look at this shit. Look at it."

JJ rushed over towards them and shook his hair, white specks falling from it causing Penny to lean back in her seat next to Pope, with a disgusted look.

"The house." Pope warned.

Kiara grimaced,"That's dandruff, disgusting."

"Please stop." Penny pushed him away.

"Okay, thank you."

"Look at all that. All right? That's paint," he gulped, "at that point I was just like, i'm waiting for death."

"Oh, okay, so you saw the guys that shot at us, right?" Pope asked.

"Yeah, we could report them," Penny suggested, looking expectantly at the blonde boy.

"Did you get a good description of them?"

"What did they look like, anything?" Kiara questionned.

"Something we can take to the police."

"Yeah," JJ nodded, "burly."

Penny scoffed, "Burly? Come on."

"Yeah. you know like--" JJ tried to explain.

"That's not very helpful." Kiara jeered, shaking her head.

"Okay, well, no, like the type of guy at my dad's garage," he stammered, looking at all of them, "I mean, you guys know he made cargo hides for drug smugglers."

"Yes. No, we know." Kiara sighed, nodding.

"I can tell you with full confidence, these boys, these killers..." JJ took a breather, taking a hit from his vape as he leaned against the wall, "they're square groupers."
