Atlantis
Atlantian Ancient Artifact Hall
Time - Evening

{Damian}

The Atlantian Ancient Artifact Hall -- that's a mouth full -- or the A3H, has the most security puzzle than any other halls in the kingdom. According to Mera, these old stones and rusty metals had been passed down from generation to generation and it holds powers of the seven seas.
Legend has it, some of the artifacts had been blessed by Poseidon so whoever gets a whole of it will have endless riches and good fortunes till the end.
           What a bunch of nonsense.
Mera had to use three kinds of incantations, four keys to unlock the lightning chains, and lastly give drop blood to ensure she's royalty. Apparently, only royal blood could access these halls.
When we entered the room, I was expecting a very messy arrangement of old rocks and metals scattered everywhere. But instead, the room is absolutely neat and tidy. Every single artifact has its name, year of creation, first master, purpose, and consequences.
It's like a museum in here.
"Okay, so don't touch anything because it's dangerous." She said.
"Of course, that's the first rule before entering places like these," I said sarcastically while swimming pass each artifact, quickly glancing through their names.
There's are so many artifacts that looked jaw-dropping and some are just weird. For instance, there's the Seal of Clarity, there's the Power Glove, Atlantian Key, and many more.
"So, what are we looking for?" I ask.
"It's right here." She said indistinctly.
I glance around the hall and saw her standing at the West side of the room, deep in. She was holding something in her hands which made me ditch the sightseeing and swam towards her.
"This is the Echo Globe." She said as she carefully holds a crystal ball the size of a helmet.
"It echoes?" I ask while looking at the crystal ball.
"No, of course not, it's just the name." She said as she began carrying the ball towards a table. "Echo represents ones memory. Whenever something becomes a memory, it stays in the globe which is our mind, waiting for its master to come and visit them."
"The more often the owner visits the memory, the more he or she will start to miss it and learns to re-live it in real life."
"In other word, they will continue to live in the past by reliving it in the present."
"Okay?" I said as I took a seat opposite of her. It was almost humorous I'm sitting on a chair after so long... but with a tail, instead of legs. It feels weird but humourous like I said. "So how is that going to see my memories?
She places the ball on a stand located at the center of the table just before taking a seat on the opposite of me. A while later, the ball started glowing bright white while cloudy essences move in a circular motion in it.
"Now, place your palms on the crystal." She said.
Without question, I reach forward and place both of my palms directly around the crystal ball and waited for further instruction.
"I'll use my powers to activate the crystal, and when it does, I want you to mention his full name." She said. "If the ball recognizes the name you mentioned, it'll show the memory straight away... and you can remove your hands from it."
           "Got it?"
"Yes," I said while focusing on the mystical essence in the ball. I then look up to see how she's going to activate the crystal.
She lifts her right hand to which her powers started flowing out her fingers. Shortly after, her eyes glowed bright blue. She then looks at the ball and aims her fingers towards it. Her powers flow from her fingers and towards my palms and then into the ball. Soon after, the mystical essence in the ball stopped moving.
"Okay, say his name." She said without taking her eyes away from the ball.
"Zayka Depth," I said to the crystal.
Suddenly, I can feel my mind being invaded as my eyes shut automatically. I'm seeing many flashbacks at the same time. I began feeling dizzy but I didn't remove my hands from the crystal.
Then, I felt my mind at peace ones again. So I'd assumed it's over.
I open my eyes and gaze down towards the crystal. To my surprise, I'm watching all my memories that had Zayka in it.
But, the memory that is being shown, isn't the one we're expecting. I started panicking internally because the memory is the first time I met Zayka. Which means, she is going to know the truth as to why Zayka changed.
"No no! It's not this!" I covered the ball with my palms.
"But it shows Zayka on it." She said, giving me a confused look.
"Yes but... it's not this." I said. "How do you change it?"
"You can't." She said. "When you mention the person's name, it'll show every single moment you've spent with them."
           Shit!
"Okay, let's just not... watch this," I said as I continue to block the ball from her sight.
"Why?" She asks with a suspicious look.
"Because... be-be-c-cause" I couldn't find the right excuse to make me sound believable.
"Damian, the crystal won't continue until you let go of it." She said, pointing at the crystal. "It's like your tv back home. It's paused... and it won't play till you let go of it."
It was then I knew I can't hide the truth any longer. As I've said before, the truth will be revealed sooner or later. But why the hell does it have to be so soon?!
"Alright," I said as I release the ball and sat back down.
           "What's wrong?" She asks.
I clench my hands together as I prepare myself for what I'm about to watch again... but this time, be judged. "You'll know after watching it," I replied.
