They ran through the field, Lacheana killing orcs, who wanted to block their way. They climbed up and Lacheana felt the wound growing bigger but she had to push through the pain.

"Thorin..." Bilbo panted when they reached the top. "Bilbo! Lacheana!" Thorin sighed out. He seemed even slightly happy when he saw the two he had hurt before. "You have to leave here! Now! Azog has another army attacking from the North. This watchtower will be completely surrounded. There'll be no way out." Bilbo spoke quickly while trying to catch his breath. Lacheana's breaths were shaky but nobody heard them through her helmet.

"We are so close! That orc scum is in there. I say we push on." Dwalin said walking closer to Thorin. "No! That's what he wants. He wants to draw us in." Thorin said and when he looked past Dwalin he whispered: "This is a trap!" They looked towards the watchtower where Fili and Kili were. "Find Fili and Kili! Call them back." Thorin ordered Dwalin. "Thorin, are you sure?" Dwalin asked turning back towards his king. "Do it. We live to fight another day." Thorin said. He looked at Bilbo and they nodded to each other turning to leave.

But they only took a few steps before a drum sound was heard from Ravenhill. A light had appeared in the tower and atop the tower stood Azog, dragging Fili behind him. Lacheana felt some kind of other pain in her and she ran forward with Thorin. Azog yelled out something before piercing through Fili and letting him fall. Lacheana ran towards the dwarf and found him dead between huge rocks. There was nothing she could do to save him. His gray eyes were staring up into the cloudy sky but the light in them had faded away. She pulled his lifeless body against her while she sat down staring into the sky with him. She eventually closed his eyes and placed him gently on the cold hard stone floor.

She found Tauriel fighting Bolg. Lacheana jumped on the orc causing him to fall. He grabbed Lacheana and threw her body against the wall. She saw everything blackening before her eyes but she pulled herself up just in time for Kili to reach them. She took off her helmet throwing it on the ground. And then she saw a horrifying sight. Bolg held up Kili and pierced through him with his sharp blade. Tauriel yelled out and caught Kili's falling body while Lacheana tried to hold off Bolg. He attempted to threw Lacheana over the edge but she held onto him causing them both fall.

Lacheana stared up into the sky holding onto her life. Her breaths were shakey and shallow. She saw Bolg getting up near her and she tried to reach her sword but it was too far from her. Fear was filling her red eyes but her face stayed calm and serious. While moving herself she felt pain and had to gasp for air a few times. She heard a loud noise and saw a big tower fall but after that her world went black.

She came to consciousness and saw Thorin on the edge of a frozen river. She forced herself to stand and stumbled up the broken stairs to help Thorin. Her eyelids felt heavy and every step she took caused a lot of pain. But she carried on through gritted teeth.

"Lacheana?!" a very faint voice yelled out for her. She reached Thorin and saw him walking on the river watching down. And then she saw Thorin gasp in pain and fall. Azog jumped through the ice. He tried to pierce through Thorin with his bladed hand but Thorin caught it with his sword. Lacheana stumbled towards them almost falling on every step. She left behind a trail of blood. And then she saw Thorin letting Azog's blade into his chest. Lacheana wanted to scream out but she couldn't. She saw Thorin flip Azog over and put his own blade through him. Azog died and Thorin fell next to him. Lacheana got to him pulling him close to her. "Lacheana..." Thorin struggled to whisper. Lacheana pushed a few strands of hair out of his face. She saw Bilbo walking over to them. He sat next to them.

"The eagles are coming..." Bilbo breathed out. "Bilbo..." Thorin whispered. Bilbo looked at his wounds and knew that they were bad. "Oh!" he said surprised and covered his mouth. "I'm glad you are here." Thorin managed to say. Bilbo shushed him but Thorin said: "I wish to part from you in friendship." Lacheana took his hand in hers and gave it a gentle assuring squeeze.

"No. You are not going anywhere, Thorin. You're going to live." Bilbo said. Lacheana hoped that Bilbo knew that what he had just said wasn't true. "I would take back my words and my deeds at the gate. You did what only true friends would do. Forgive me... I was too blind to see. I'm sorry that I have led you into such peril." Thorin mumbled. Lacheana felt tears on her cheeks that haven't been there for far too long. Thorin began to choke up blood. Lacheana pulled him closer.

"No, no, I'm glad to have shared in all your perils, Thorin, each and every one of them. And it's far more than any Baggins deserve." Bilbo said quietly. Thorin smiled. "Farewell, master burglar. Go back to your books and your armchair. Plant your tree, watch them grow." Thorin said before shifting his gaze on Lacheana. "Farewell, my lady. You will be the only elf I have ever trusted." Thorin whispered. Lacheana smiled at him. Thorin struggled to cough and he looked back at Bilbo saying: "If more people valued home above gold this world would be a merrier place." He gasped deeply and then his gaze seemed lost. "No! No! No! Thorin! Oh don't you dare!" Bilbo shouted. Thorin breathed out his last breath and the light in his eyes faded.

"Thorin, Thorin, wake up. The eagles... the eagles... the eagles are here. Thorin... the eag..." Bilbo said through tears. Lacheana placed a kiss on top of Thorin's head before laying him down and closing his eyes. You can rest now, my king.

She stumbled up and started walking away. "My lady, where are you going?" Bilbo asked drying his tears. She waved him to stay with Thorin.

Lacheana was near the tower when suddenly her feet gave up. She prepared to fall but a strong pair of arms caught her. "My, lady..." Legolas breathed out. The sight that he saw wasn't pretty, Lacheana's face was dusty and blood tripped from the corner of her mouth, her hair was messy and stuck to her face and her lovely red eyes were dim. Lacheana stared into his piercing blue eyes. Her breaths were even more shakier than before and felt like it was her time to go. She gave Legolas a smile before she fell unconscious.

Lacheana... You must wake, daughter of Ilúvatar. You have a part to play in the future.
