Chapter 3: One of These Days
(Third Person Point of View)Mid-fall. It was the transition of the season between summer and winter, and people in the kingdom of Vorona has only one thing on their mind during this season of the year.
And that is to stock up on stocks and supplies before the harsh winter came, and the Miya Merchants are no exceptions to that.
The palace was quiet as well. The knights of the round table were making their way all around the kingdom to ensure that their people are well. King Tobio was the busiest because he was assigned to monitor everything, from the peasants up to the knights. It was a normal busy day, and King Tobio was sure that the day should end smoothly if nothing peculiar was to ruin it.
That is, until King Tooru Oikawa from the neighbouring kingdom of Rasteniya visited him.
"MORNING, MOTHERFUCKERS!"
King Tobio almost dropped the paperworks he was holding.
"O-Oikawa-senpai!" King Tobio staggered to keep his poise, dignity, and the paperworks intact while simultaneously feeling nervous and confused. "What-what brings you here? We- we are not expecting visitors at this time of the year, the palace is in disarray and I am so sorry for that-- I-- why are you alone? Where is Iwaizumi-senpai?"
King Tooru saves the paperworks that were about to fall off King Tobio's grasp. "Calm down, Tobio-chan. I did not come here to assassinate you. Let us save that for a different date. For now, I just wanted to visit, honest."
One of the Knights, Kei Tsukishima, who happened to be present in that moment, gave King Tooru a dubious look.
"Vi-- visit--"
"Fret not, Tobio-chan. I do not care if Vorona is in shambles. Honestly, the state of Rasteniya is much worse."
Tsukishima butted in. "So that was why you escaped here."
"Tobio-chan, that knight is rude."
"He is rude to everyone except Yamaguchi, Oikawa-senpai."
"..."
King Tobio was about to say something when Hinata came inside the palace with frantic nervousness.
"Kageyama! I just received telegram from the kingdom of Rasteniya. Iwaizumi-san asks for the Great King Oikawa's whereabouts. It seems like he is missing."
Hinata stopped halfway as he looked at King Tooru, then King Tobio, then back at King Tooru.
Tsukishima halts Hinata's thoughts. "No shortie, the King did not kidnap Oikawa-san. Oikawa-san ran away from their kingdom and went to our kingdom to escape his problems."
King Tooru looks at Tsukishima. "Glasses-chan, can you not put it like that?"
After Tsukishima gave a small shrug and went away, King Tooru looks at Hinata. "Please do not tell Iwa-chan that I am here. He will kill me."
King Tobio waved a hand of dismissal. "Hinata, please accommodate Oikawa-senpai. I am busy as of the moment. Please."
King Tooru hugged Hinata. "I will be in your care, Shouyou!"
Hinata smiles at him. "Would you like to see the cherry blossoms at this time of the year?"
"Sure thing, Shouyou!"
There was not much people present downtown. King Tooru was not even wearing his royal clothes so the people thought of him as a normal citizen and therefore did not pay their respect, much to King Tooru's delight because he did not want the word to spread that he was currently hiding at Vorona. Iwaizumi is indeed going to kill him.
