Chapter 8: Same Event, Different Tears
(Third Person Point of View)Osamu looked at his twin brother. "It is time."
Atsumu looked back at him. "Laundry time?"
Osamu smacked him in the head. "Moron. It is time for Shouyou's wedding, are you really sure you want to go?"
"Eh, why not? We are his friends after all, 'Samu. We need to be there and be happy for him."
"But 'Tsumu..."
"I know I have not been able to come to terms with my wretched feelings and I had not the time to talk to Shouyou about it, but for his and King Tobio's wedding, we need to support them. As friends."
Osamu just sighed. Still a moron. Look at you. You have not yet picked up the broken pieces of your heart and you still choose to shatter them again.
The wedding was the grandest event that was ever held in the history of the kingdom of Vorona. King Ushijima and King Tendou of the kingdom of Orel were present, and the King Tooru and his knight Iwaizumi were also invited. As well as a handful of townspeople, Kuroo and Bokuto: the owners of the Nefuro perfumery, Doctor Sakusa, and the Miya Merchants.
"Oh?" Atsumu snickers upon seeing Sakusa. "I thought you hated crowds."
"Well, I hate you more than crowds, so dealing with crowds is much more bearable if I can deal with you."
"Omi-omi, why are you like this?"
"Ssh!" Osamu hissed. "The wedding is about to start!"
As Hinata walked down the aisle, cherry blossom in hands, Sakusa started to sing a song.
I loved you every minute, every second
Loved you everywhere and any moment
Always and forever was just for a moment
'cause I was not the one, I don't know how
I loved you 'til the last of snow disappeared
Missed you on the rainy days of the year
Never knew of pain like this but I've got to know
Thought I loved you so
Why did you go?
I hate the way you let us go like it was all just nothing
I hate the way you hit the notes, but not the words I'm saying
I hate the little things like when I'm unaware
I still remember how we broke so perfectly
Atsumu grits his teeth. "Kiyo fucking Omi, can you please change the song? It does not fit for the joyous wedding."
Osamu just looked at his brother's trembling hands.
I think the song fitted you perfectly, 'Tsumu.
King Tooru happily received the bride and groom in the altar. He clears his throat. "Would there be anyone against in this wedding?"
Osamu whispered to his twin brother. "You can raise your hand, 'Tsumu."
Atsumu groans. "Shut up, 'Samu."
"Oh?" Sakusa, who was seated in Osamu's right, picked up the gossip. "In love with the king or the knight?"
Osamu answered for Atsumu. "The knight."
"Ah." Sakusa pats Atsumu's back. "I am so sorry for your loss."
